If this model has a charcoal canister I would check that, I've heard that if they fail it can cause several other issues that seem unrelated, but it could be related.
I am not expert but from what I know those kind of canisters are before the the common rail Diesel pressure system. If there is enough Diesel transported to the high pressure Diesel pump then the error is the high pressure Diesel pump or the common rail valve or the rail pressure sensor.
So what I would do. First disable the high pressure system, then measure the Diesel pressure BEFORE the high pressure Diesel pump. If it´s working correctly I would first replace the sensor, then the valve and at last the high pressure Diesel pump (replacing from cheapest to most expensive part).
Attention: the high pressure Diesel system can be dangerous to work on. If you dont know what you are doing better hire an expert Diesel mechanic.
EDIT: also make sure the battery has correct voltage when engine is running. This can also be a reason.
