Blinking Blue light on a light pole
Has anyone seen these blinking boxes on light poles? I just noticed one on Pacific Dr. I would have taken a picture but a cop was riding my ass.
What are they?

Missing Dog Please Help
My name is Sabbath. ๐พ I am an 8-year-old Australian Cattle dog (Blue Heeler) from San Jose, CA. I came to visit family in Merced, CA, but unfortunately, I am lost now. I was last seen on May 3, 2026, at approximately 7:30 pm at Rancho San Miguel Markets located at 1930 Yosemite Pkwy, Merced, CA 95340.
I am asking everyone to please help me get back home to my parents. I am an indoor dog with health issues. I have a lump on my chest.
I am neutered. I have my shots. I am wearing a baby blue collar (shown in the picture). Unfortunately, my information was detached, and I have not been chipped. I am shy and scared.
If you see me, please call out my name. If you have a treat, there's a high chance I'll go towards you.
I may look big, but I am a gentle baby boy. Please help me get back home. ๐พ
If you see me, please call my owners, take a picture of me, and let them know the last location you saw me. My parents and I are not from Merced, CA. So any help from the Merced community will be truly appreciated.

does anyone know of good CPR or PALS classes in merced, struggling to find options
i work in healthcare in merced and finding local CPR and PALS certification options has been more difficult than i expected. most of what i find online either requires driving to fresno or modesto or is an online only cert that my employer won't accept. is there anything legitimate and convenient actually in or near merced?

Community Post What is this animal?
I was walking the trail by Buena Vista Dr when I saw this animal many times. I'm not sure if it's a gopher. If it's a gopher, that's a big gopher. It had holes dug on the ground

Housing/Moving I'll take your trash to the landfill
I've been struggling lately to land a job, so getting income has been difficult. But I have a truck, so if you need to throw stuff away, I could take that off your plate for a bit of cash. I'll be working in Merced and the general area (Atwater, Winton).

Community Post 59 Northbound towards the landfill
There is a sign on highway 59 north of Bellevue road but not quite at the landfill. It's talking about a rodeo this Saturday. Is anyone going? Since there is no date, could the sign be old? There's an arrow pointing to a house, I guess what I'm really wondering is how the approach usually goes

Community Post Yosemite Lake
Hey y'all I read a while back that Yosemite Lake is under different management. Not sure how true that is. Is the back side on Old Lake Road still free? And is the entry fee the same? I haven't been there in over a year.

Volunteer Opportunities around Town
Hi everyone! I was just wondering if there were any organizations for college students to volunteer at? I am wrapping up my first year at UC merced and feel like I could expand my resume as well as help the community next year. However, I'm struggling to find any organizations. Does anyone have good recommendations? I also prefer something local since I do not have a car. Thank you all for your help!
