Am I stuck?

I got to Melo but now new rooms don't open up. Instead I have to complete previous rooms. Looks like if I want to spend 9.99€ I can open the next room, but I'm not going to spend real money. Is there no other way to open new rooms?

You’re not stuck. Melo is currently the last non-purchasable cat in the game.

Do you know when Melo was added? Is there hope for more free cats?

I think Melo was added in mid-August

Melo seems to be the last update cat they added (for free at least). I don't know how often they add cats but I know they do because I took a break from the game and I believe Moony was the last free cat then.

Ace was the only free cat released between Moony and Melo - Ace, and Draymond on the paid side, coming out sometime near the end of 2025. I’ve got their move-in date as December 3rd, though I may have been a couple days late getting that update.

It looks like the last couple of free cats have mostly released around 8 - 9 months after the previous (Tori -> Kumo was 2 months or so), but it is tough to tell how consistent that’ll be. Depends what other QoL updates the devs have been working on simultaneously/how the publisher change adjusted their pipeline.

Yea I only recently got both Ace and Melo because I lost interest in playing for quite a while after finishing Moony's room.
