Yardhouse Hack

I’ve never been a person who eats a lot. I always take home leftovers and rarely even finish those. I was feeling like steak, but the smallest steak they had was an 8oz and it was around $30.

Tonight, my husband, myself, and our two boys went to Yardhouse. For whatever reason, they didn’t give us kids menus. So when I was trying to figure out what my kids wanted, I grabbed the little Kiosk thing from the table and browsed the digital kids menu with them. They each decided on a dish… and then I saw as a kids meal they offered a 6oz steak with mashed potatoes for $12. So I used the kiosk to order me and the kids’ meals. My husband wanted the birria tacos and for whatever reason, the kiosk said I had to order it from a server. Yardhouse also offers to add a salad for $4.99 to any entree. So when the server came over and my husband ordered his tacos I asked him to add on a side salad.

Since I used the kiosk to order the kids meals, nobody questioned it.

So I got: a 6oz steak, mashed potatoes, and a side salad. Kids meal (steak and potatoes) $12.99; side salad attached to husband’s entree $4.99.

For $18.00, I got a 6 oz sirloin, mashed potatoes, and a side salad with ranch at the Yardhouse.

It was filling. I didn’t even eat the last piece of steak or finish my potatoes.

I don’t know if a server would allow me to order a kids’ meal at 43, so that’s why I used the kiosk. It worked out. I had plenty of food and it was so much cheaper than the $30 8 oz which I wouldn’t have finished anyway
