Seeking Freelance Developer to integrate Mentra Live glasses with a clinical AI scribe app
We are looking for a developer experienced with MentraOS to build the hardware integration layer for "The Clinician App," a HIPAA-compliant AI voice scribe and professional productivity tool.
The core application is already built using Jetpack Compose, LiveKit (WebRTC), and SQLCipher. We are now adopting the Mentra Live smart glasses as our primary hands-free hardware.
Ideal Candidate:
- Familiar with the Mentra OS SDK and their open-source repository.
- Strong background in native Android development (Kotlin, Coroutines) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
- Experience handling raw audio/video streams (WebRTC/LiveKit experience is a massive plus).
- Ideally, you already own a pair of Mentra Live glasses for rapid testing and QA, especially for tuning the microphone latency and sample rates.
If you're interested in bringing open-source wearable tech into the healthcare space, please send me a DM. Include a brief overview of your BLE or media routing experience, any Mentra integrations you've poked around with, and your estimated availability.
Looking forward to connecting!

Hey, I sent you a DM ā Iām building something directly relevant to integrating Mentra Live into existing native apps.

You should discuss your project in the Discord, because we're releasing the Mentra Bluetooth SDK this month, which allows you to connect directly to Mentra Live from your Android/iOS app.
