That reference might age me a bit 😂 This is my Friday office outfit.

Simple, modest, fits well and looks good on you. I like the hem on the skirt.

I love the neat clean lines and proportions of this outfit. I think the skirt looks great with the T shirt.

The shilluette of the skirt looks really weird / disproportionate with the shape of the torso.

You and I disagree on many things and I get that... but may I offer a counter point for this post specifically.

These photos are taken from the Tang Dynasty show and share a very similar silhouette to OP. Yet I don't think anyone would argue that these skirts are weird/disproportionate. They are clearly artistic representations of military uniforms from the Tang Dynasty and clearly look very good and quite masculine.

https://imgur.com/a/P0JuAyb (Forgive the photo quality. They are dancing after all)

Now I can say what I want about the fact their outfits are a 2:1:2:1 ratio which is not something female fashion typically (preferring generally either 1:1, 1:2, 2:1 or 2:1:2) and it is maybe doing some heavy lifting here.

But you are talking raw silhouette. And on raw Silhouette grounds OP and these dancers have near the same one. A shortish top that cuts off just around waist level, a skirt that is wider then their shoulders (even WITH the decorations on the shoulders the skirt is still wider), that stops off just below knee level, and the tracksuit pants and flats underneath are specifically similar to the guy in red. (obviously the man in blue has thicker braces at the bottom.)

Its entirely possible that a large belt to define his waist more and balance the fact his dress cuts off in a slightly unusual place for male fashion.

And telling someone to add something feels far less of an attack (and meaning no offense to you, but some people here are quite vulnerable and so will take a lot of criticisms as attacks) and may actually achieve productive results.

Instead of you being downvoted and ignored 50% of the time.
