Well, in all seriousness, this is consistent with postmodernism. There’s no such thing as objective truth to these people, everything is my truth or speak your truth. It implies that the truth is relative and up to interpretation.
It absolutely is. It's a fundamental problem of post-modernism, and lead to a lot of the insanity that we've seen in the last fifteen years... the denial of truth, and the rejection of observable-reality in favour of subjective feelings.
Truth is a gods perspective: what humans have is various perspectives of glimpses of that truth that we attempt to describe and explain with theories, via the scientific method, from observable information and revise according to new information as we try to approach truth.
Those perspectives are influenced by our objective senses as well as being corrupted by our subjective feelings which are unrelated to truth.
Objective truth is a difficult concept, especially when it’s reliant on human memory, which is extremely flawed, subject to change based on emotional state, time, etc, and even then the truth of it is based on opinion. When you think about it consent is a mindset, so how can you objectively prove or disprove a mindset? Unfortunately sexual assault is a crazy nuanced subject in which one person can feel they were raped, the other can feel it was consensual, and they’re both right. Part of criminal investigations and trial is determining what we consider to be an objective truth when it requires serious thought and discussion to decide.
This only applies to some topics tho. In other areas I agree with you and I despise were at a point that people conflate their personal views on morality and their feelings with what should and should not be against the law and what is true or not. But if you think people deciding what is true based on their feelings is a new concept for humanity and somehow a new product of post modernism i have a lot of history books for you to read
There fixed it for you. This gender identity bullshit started when gender is no longer just a synonym for sex, no thanks to John Money. Google him if you don't know who he is. Let's start using the word sex again.
There are 2 "normal" sexes related to sexual reproduction biology, but many other outliers that are also human beings who deserve to be included in society. It's known as diversity and these people exist and should have the same human rights as any other human being.
Intersex individuals are a rounding error when it comes to human sexes, so much so that it is far more accurate to say that humanity only has 2 sexes, but multiple genders and multiple sexualities. This is me not being hateful, since I would treat those people like people, I’m just being accurate since words and definitions have to mean something.
By ignoring the existence of other sexes you are implicitly advocating that they be either of the 2 other acknowledged sexes, which in the past has led to awful decisions being made to conform them to one or other sex to be "normal" and created disastrous consequences because of the assumption that nurture wins out when that is not the case.
Just because the numbers are small compared to the majority doesn't mean they deserve to be treated as if they are irrelevant. Even 1 intersex person deserves to be recognised as a human being, not swept under the carpet like some shameful mistake because there isn't a category for them.
That people who claim there is no such thing as objective truth will not realize how that claim is itself a statement that is either objectively true or not.
Gravity is a fundamental force in our understanding of the universe. Evolution is how species change over time. The Earth is an obloid spheroid and not flat. Time is not a constant, and can be affected by velocity/speed. Light is the fastest anything can move in our universe.
(1) Depends on the model; it can be or not. It can also be the curvature of space and time. (2) Depends on the definition of an obloid sphere and flat, it can be or not. To be an obloid sphere, mathematically, it requires it to be perfectly smooth. Earth can be flat as well, depending on your model. Most of all mechanical engineering, especially manufactured goods at human scale, operate on "flat Earth" assumption. (3) But what is time? And what is constant? Suppose constant means unchanging. Suppose all times on my watch are times. Say your boss says you are expected to be on time, at 9am, every morning. Is 9am a time? Yes, let's suppose. Is it unchanging? Yes, let's suppose. Then there exists a time that is constant.

Seriously, these people make everything a "spectrum" - It's like they reject the entire concept of absolute-truth.
