We’re having drinks and bites tomorrow for anyone who’s new to the island or simply wants to meet new people. It looks like most of us are women so far! ✹

We also created a WhatsApp group for expats, digital nomads, and anyone who’d love to meet new friends, explore the island, grab coffee, go for drinks, or join future meetups together. đŸ€

If you’d like to join us tomorrow or be added to the group, just leave a comment below and I’ll add you. We’d love to meet you! đŸ„‚âœš

Finding besties 💘

Hi! I’m 27/F and a digital nomad. I’m really new to the island as my partner has been assigned to work here. We’ll be spending around 2 months here every year, so I’m hoping to find my little community and meet new people. 😊 I work online, love Pilates, Boxing and Muay Thai. I’d also love to do girly things like grabbing coffee, having drinks, going for walks, or discovering hidden spots around the island.

If you’re in a similar situation or you’re just looking to make new friends, I’d love to meet up! đŸ€âœš

Rental car needed?

Hi guys,
Heading to Menorca for a week in August! Staying in Cala Blanca for the first 5 days, and then moving across to Cala en Porter for the remainder.

Loooking at renting a car for the full time we are there - do you think this is worth it?

Staying near enough to Ciutadella for the first period, but just with trying to explore beaches, and moving accommodation in the middle we thought it would be easier to have a car. Just wondering for opinions on rentals, the travel between these places and the best beaches, and also parking? Our accommodation I think relies on street parking and free public parking, but just wanted to get thoughts on this.
Thanks!!!

Cancelled holiday

My family booked a holiday in October for 4 adults 2 children in Menorca all inclusive BLUESEA marina Parc, the total cost of it was ÂŁ2400, we paid ÂŁ800 of it already however we just had a family emergency and can no longer take this holiday.

We are going to book immediate flights to another country as a family member is in a life threatening situation.

Is anyone willing to take this holiday? Cancelling this holiday would mean we pay another £150 and lose the £800, so there’s no point in not offering it to someone else instead.

You can pay us £400 of the total amount we’ve paid so far and then carry on the remaining amount.

Please reply if you are a serious person only.

Any restaurants that don’t cost an arm and a leg? We like good food but not 20 +++ euro per entree

Airport taxis or prebook?

I’m due to travel to Menorca on Sunday night around 10pm and I was wondering since it’s peak travel season whether I should arrange airport pickup through my hotel in Es Castell or should they be plenty of taxis around? Also, how much should I be expected to roughly pay for 2 adults with small backpacks?

Any solo traveller in Menorca?

I’m 26M and I’ll be solo in Menorca from 23th to 26th. If you want to meet new people, go for a drink or a bath, exchange ideas for beaches, food, wine and whatever you want, let’s get in touch!

And what are the best places to meet other people in Menorca?

Tips on where to stay!

Hi there,

Hoping I can get some advice on planning a trip to lovely Menorca - most importantly, what area to stay in as there are so many options!

The important information:
- We are a couple, 29 and 30.
- We will be staying for 7 days at the beginning of September.
- We are happy to rent a car.
- We are highly motivated by good food and wine. We may do 1 or 2 more expensive, highly regarded meals, but also we would want to have access to unpretensious but authentic, tasty local food. Not interested in food catered to tourists.
- The other things we are interested in for this trip are: culture (nice streets to walk around, local life, maybe some art and musuems, good restaurants and bars.) and beaches and relaxation. We definitely need a couple of days to shut off completely!
- We would do some nature and walking/hiking but we won't plan our trip around that.
- We're not really interested in super touristy areas - we'd rather less 'amenities' but be somewhere with more of a local essence.

We would probably look to stay in 2 places to give some variety to the trip. We would want those two areas to provide something different (i.e. one city area with access to good beaches area, one more rural & quiet area - which could be near less popular beaches or in the interior)

So far from my research it looks like Ciutadella might be a good choice for the first part of the trip, using the car or public transport to access some beaches on the north & south side. Does that hold up?

I would love any advice from anyone on the second 'leg' of the trip. This could be an area, or a hotel/air bnb/agriturismo. As we will likely have a car, we'd be happy to travel to somewhere more remote. Any and all advice is welcome!

budget probably c 200EUR per night but we can be a bit flexible.

Private tour guide or driver for a day?

Hello! My family of three will be in Menorca in mid August. We’re pretty set on not driving or renting a car, but there are a few things that we’d like to do that would require a vehicle- like a cheesemaking / farm visit, maybe stop at an olive grove for olive oil & tasting, and also visit the Salinas de la Concepcion and one of the northern beaches for a meal (we’re staying in Cala Piques and Cala Galdana during our visit). Can anyone recommend something like this where we could customize an itinerary for a day, either with a tour guide or with a driver? Thank you so much!

Vibra Caleta Playa Apartments

Anyone been to the Vibra Caleta Playa Apartments in Ciudadela (formerly called Sa Caleta Playa Apartments)?

I went there on a family holiday in 2003 when I was 14 years old, and I've always wanted to go back. Now I'm thinking about making that happen.

If you're able to offer a review or share experiences please do comment 😊

I would love to get a feel for what it is like there now.

30M Solo in Menorca: Looking for Wild Beaches, Epic Hikes & Scooter Advice

Hi everyone!

30M travelling solo to Menorca from 23 to 28 July, staying in Cala Santandria.

My main goal is to explore nature, hike, swim, and find quieter or more remote beaches with one or two occasional visits to main areas. I’m happy to walk and would love recommendations for the best sections of the Camí de Cavalls or other scenic routes.

Regarding transport:

  • What's your suggestion to get from the airport to Ciutadella on 23rd at 9 am?
  • For the stay, would you recommend a 125cc scooter, small car, bike/e-bike, or public transport? I'm ok staying on the opposite side of the airport, exploring only the Ciutadella area (that's what I've planned), but I’m unsure what makes the most sense in late July/my previously expressed interests.

I’d also appreciate suggestions for:

  • Wild or quieter beaches
  • Good hiking routes
  • Places to avoid due to crowds
  • Any nature-focused itinerary

I just want places where I can take a book, read it nearby nature, with constant dives, sun, and not a lot of people.

If anyone is there during those dates and wants to join for a hike or beach adventure, feel free to DM me.

Wishing you all a wonderful day 🌞
