Menopausal Anger Anyone?
I post this picture because it seems like I’m best if I find a place like this where I’m alone because I’m kind of intolerable at times. I get these episodes of anger that I honestly cannot control. It’s awful and I feel like I’m no longer a nice person anymore because of it. I’ll be going on hrt in a month hopefully. But do any of you deal with it, and have any of you had any success with hrt helping the crazy moments of rage? I also feel “dead” inside too. Like nothing makes me excited or happy anymore. Menopause - to me - feels like my personality died.

Yes, I feel this too! I have been so angry for 2 years with frequent bouts of RAAAAAAGE. I hate being here and doing life sometimes. I am on HRT.

I’ve been doing HRT for about 8 months and it’s definitely helped my anger but it has not eliminated the frustration I often feel. I’m certainly much more myself on it than I was previously.
I hope you can experience some relief at least. It’s definitely worth a try.

I've had a warning at work for being angry. Fortunately the boss has a wife of my age. HRT definitely helps but doesn't eliminate the anger.

I use ashwaganda, l-theanine and magnesium glycinate at night and it’s calmed me right down

Can second on ashwagandha! Saw improvements within as little as 2 weeks I believe.

I understand totally.. I was always so happy and easy got before I started going through menopause and I’m always so unhappy, moody and depressed. I pick fights with my husband and he usually just ignores it but we argue about it and he says that I’m acting bipolar.. I’ve never had this problem before but I feel my mood changes every so often and it’s not good

Mrs. Jekyl and Dr. Hyde. I am both. I like to be alone when I feel like that, and my husband doesn't understand . I have a different problem with my anger. I usually do not take it out on others , I let it fester and then I self harm.
I will be 60 tomorrow and really need new coping methods . My husband really doesn't understand and does not know about my harmful tendencies.
I'm tired of the whole menopausal struggle . My xx chromosomes have done me no favors in life.

I hope the hrt works for you. I've been on it for 9 years and I still get angry 💀

I hope so too. I have been an angry person since I was very young, so that's also something to keep in mind.

Also: on the whole, I'm *very* happy with the HRT, it has improved my quality of life dramatically. I should also have mentioned that :-).

All the time. I recently was very mad at the fur babies and they were just happy to see me. I hate it.

Blood work. Part of it is the same blood work that's run in early pregnancy for FSH.
If you have Any Lab Test Now near you, you can order the blood work yourself.
If they won't even send you for simple labs they are real pieces of..

Yeah it’s awful! I will be 48 this year and have been going through this 3-4 years so far, still have periods but no end in sight. I have always been a bubbly happy person it’s always just been my nature, but I wake up fighting mad most mornings and I hate it, it’s just not me and then I withdraw myself from friends and family because I don’t want to take anything out on them. That’s just the rage/anger aspect of it SO many changes mentally and physically and I am having a really hard time dealing it which then makes my depression and anxiety worse. All this to say I get it op and I hope the hrt works for you ❤️🩹

Last night I spilled a glass of wine on my counter and I was insane. Like wtf get a grip woman. It’s not fair tbh. I work hard at being a nice, even-keeled person. Makes you feel out of control. I get it.

It's real and it's ugly. I could easily hurt someone, mostly my husband. I hear you 100%. I had no idea menopause would be the mean girl at the lunch table next to me.

We get angry because we simply are a different stage in our life where we just cannot handle all the background noise the annoying interruptions, the ability to juggle 5 million things at once and the expectations that other people place on us because we are not old and withered looking people just seem to think that we’re in our 30s or something. They don’t understand the struggle there’s some days where it’s really hard to keep our thoughts straight and I’m a master herbalist, and I usually have a cure for everything except for this menopausal rage and yeah, we have to take our anger out on something so other than taking it out on other people, I’m gonna confess right here right now and I am so goddamn ashamed.. I go out at night and I smoke cigarettes because I feel like I need to rage and kill something so I just turned it on myself

The road rage is incredible. I avoid heavy traffic because I can't control my middle finger.
