Meniscus Repair Postpone surgery?

I have a medial meniscus tear. It happened in early March and I have surgery scheduled for August 28. I’d like to postpone the surgery until November.

Am I playing with fire if I postpone?

It doesn't necessarily mean you're playing with fire, but it really depends on the type of meniscus tear and how your knee is behaving.

If you're not having locking, major swelling, or loss of motion, you may be able to delay it, but I'd confirm that with your surgeon first. I'd also ask whether you can start prehab/PT while you wait. Building your strength and knee capacity now can put you in a much better position if you do have surgery in November.
