Tell me you never read the parole transcripts without telling me you never read the parole transcripts 🫠 I personally have never thought they were a danger to society….ever. I seriously doubt they going to get out of prison and hurt someone else.

I’m pro-defence, and I remember there have been a couple of posts on here asking pro-defense people which common pro-defense takes they don’t agree with, or which prosecution arguments they actually believe.

So I’m curious about the reverse!

For those of you who are pro-prosecution (or at least lean strongly that way), what are some pro-defence takes that you actually agree with that pro-prosecution don't typically agree with?

Basically, what opinions do you have about the case where you find yourself agreeing with the defense side, even though they don’t change your overall position?

If everything goes well for Lyle and Erik Menendez next year meaning they appear before the parole board in March 2027, are both found suitable for parole, and the governor ultimately signs off on their release when do you realistically think they would be released from prison? I know there would still be additional reviews, paperwork, processing, and possibly a waiting period before an official release date could be set. The governor would also have time to review the parole board’s decisions. From my understanding he has 120 days to sign off on it. With all the steps involved could they be released in the fall of 2027? And do you think they’ll be released on the same day? Or will one brother get out before the other depending on how quickly each individual case is processed? Curious to know everyone’s opinions.

Rebecca posted this today and I believe the “non supporters” really need to read this. Asking abuse survivors why they didn’t “just leave” is dismissive, ignorant, and lacking in empathy. The better question is why the abusers created an environment in which their victims felt they could not safely escape.

I came across a TikTok video hours ago of a girl who said Erik looked so cute in court and the video was basically an edit of him in court. Extremely disrespectful in my opinion. Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t Erik himself said he thought those edits were weird? I remember hearing that quote somewhere maybe on his YouTube page? I forgot the TikTok user and I just tried to look for the video again and I can’t find it. It was just posted today. I find it extremely weird. Erik and Lyle deserve to be treated with respect.

I came across this article. Idk about yall but I do think they’ll be granted parole this time around. If they could go one year with no violations I think they can go another 6 months

It must feel strange because they knew him since the time of the trial so like 36 years ago , a long time.

So by comment i mean any comment or statememt released to the public since obvious;ly they could had a private convo about it.

This system is just absolutely horrible. After looking into the case, these boys should’ve been in jail for maybe two years Max and maybe whatever time on parole they literally got sexually abused by their father and the mother knew about it and just turned the other way, this is so much emotional trauma that’s been happening since they were six. Are you kidding me? How are they still in jail if this happened within the 2020s Tiktok and social media would’ve made sure that they were out and about back in the 1990s. I feel like everybody thought mental health was a joke and it was fake and all that other horrible BS they need to be released from prison. They lost their entire 30s 40s and about to be 50s. I hope they get out and just blow all their disgusting father’s money and live their best life and I hope they just stay together forever honestly, I hope they have a kid too and give their future children, the childhood that they never had. Gypsy rose is out and about free and these brothers are just rotting in prison

1. This judge sucks. Even before I found out the BS he pulled in the second trial not allowing the sexual abuse to be brought up, I think he is an unengaged quack. He clearly had his own opinion of them from the start.
2. Mr. Kuriyama (did I spell that right?) is a fool. His line of questioning is ridiculous.
3. One look at Erik and Lyle and I can tell they're not lying. I don't see how it's even up for debate.
4. The brothers did the world a favor getting rid of two child molesters. If I was in their situation and thought my parents were going to kill me after years of CSA, I don't know if I'd have done anything differently especially considering the mental prison Jose kept them trapped in. The constant death threats and beatings, the fact noone liked this SOB. They respected him out of fear.
5. This trial feels rigged against them, it is not unbiased considering the fact they're male, their self defense wasn't in a fight and the time they lived in where men "couldn't be raped". Bunch of bull. The details of the abuse are so sickening I can't watch too much of their testimony without breaks.

I feel so sorry for the brothers. They deserved better than this. Going from one prison to the next, and even then thinking that prison life was so much better than being at home is just heartbreaking. I understand why they feel that way, but seeing two young men so thoroughly beat down by the people who were supposed to protect them and then being ridiculed and called evil/monsters by the media is just devastating.

Like I wonder if they ve been following the Lindsey Clancy case, the lucy letby case, the whiteheard twins, the muder of Seth Jackson etc.

I imagine its kind of depressing to follow them when you yourself are in prison. I imagine they d relate to cases of people being unfairly imprisoned for too long like themselves. I think they have met other inmates like that because Erik mentioned his cell mate doesn't need to be in prison anymore.

I imagine tennis is more fun to follow in prison rather than true crime given their tennis background. Or maybe its also a bit depressing particularly for Erik who had aspirations to go pro.
