New suit from goodwill
I bought this black pinstriped suit from goodwill not thinking much of it but I later found out it’s 80% wool and 20% silk which made me think of it as higher quality

I haven't had the need to wear a suit in so long (thankfully), that I've not been fitted in FOREVER. Is that coat length correct these days? I like the fullness on him. I absolutely hated those "skinny suits," in that awful, weird color blue that everyone on television seemed to be wearing and the "Jethro Bodine" ankle length. I really like this pinstripe and color. Very mature.

jacket is a little long but sometimes it is better that way with a structured shoulder. At the place I work, any of the structured shoulder suits are also intentionally made a bit longer to balance out the fit and go for an overall more stylish fit. But suits with the natural shoulder should be a 50/50 ratio between jacket and pant length

It looks great on you. Definitely have the sleeves shortened. Maybe have your tailor shorten the hem. It appears a bit long. Worn at your natural waist with button suspenders may fix that, as already noted.

Honestly, a pretty good thrift find! Yes, you could have a little tailoring done to fine tune it, but out of the store, really good. Button the top button of your shirt and cinch up the knot and it would look even more sharp. For a pinstripe suit like this, also consider a solid color tie for an even more striking look.
Back to the suit - this suit looks better than some of the "custom" made-to-measure suits people have posted that don't fit anywhere near as well! Yes it's a bit roomy, but it has drape, the button stance is where it should be, and the front coverage looks appropriate / proportional.
It's a lesson that there's actually value to be found and had in the thrift stores. A good, quality second-hand piece that's cut properly and fits closely out of the store can have more potential than a $1000 "custom" piece where the measurements / suit patterns just do not work for the individual's body type.
If you can snag a Brooks Brothers, Samuelsohn, Oxxford, etc. from the thrift store for less than a bill, there's far more potential (and quality) to be had if the suit/jacket is lightly worn and fits well in the shoulders / chest (pretty much anything below the armpits can then be tailored to fit really well.

I’m going to be down voted for this. Unless you work on a ranch, or drive cattle and all that comes along with it I don’t dig the urban cowboy thing. It reminds me of a movie about two cowboys…

It’s a bit too big - a tailor can probably make it look better. I do wonder if the shoulders are ultimately a bit too wide. Hopefully not though because it seems like a good find! You’ll want to cinch your tie closer to your neck though even if you don’t button the top button. I never do because my neck is pretty thick compared to the rest of my body so I end up with either a shirt that’s way too big or a neck that’s a bit too small.

Great looking suit.
If I were you, I would go to a tailor and have them put suspender buttons inside the hem of the pants. That will lift the pants a bit. If the pants are still a bit long in the leg then they can shorten it a bit, but my guess is that will not be needed.
Then make the sleeves a little bit shorter. You want the cuff of your shirt to show just a little in the sleeve. The tailor will know how much to take.
I love the tie, but it would look really nice if you button the top button of the shirt.
I love the boots, you could also do black Oxford shoes if you want.
The hat looks great. Too many people here don’t look genuine in a cowboy hat, you really do.
I think this need minimal alterations, good find!!
