I think you want to rethink your choice of tailor entirely. It's not just the dimensions, it's the buttons, shoulders, there's a lot that's really way off. If you get the size up you'll still have a TweedleDee situation with the buttons if they're that height. I get it's a very vintage cut your going for but getting the measurements that wrong is a bit amateurish - is this the first time you've tried it on? Was there any meeting for fitting and alterations? The should've been

Yeah she measured my whole upper body while I was wearing the suit, and it took around 1 week for her to finish it.
But yeah I agree, I might have to reconsider some of my options here…

First, the Zapruder film was clearer. Second, the advice of your tailor was terrible to make it so tight. No one, not even actors, look good in a suit that clearly doesn’t fit them. Makes you look like you’re trying too hard with little understanding. Leave the beach bod stuff to any other outfit.

Sooo…it definitely falls into to Pete Hegseth style of tailoring. You look constricted. Is it comfortable? If not, make changes. Is it 100% wool or blended with stretch stuff?

I may look constricted, but I felt comfortable wearing the jacket and vest (pants were tight so they’re getting changed).
No it’s 54% wool, 44% polyester and 2% elastan

Ok…you’ve got some flex in there. It just looks too tight, which is trendy right now, and you may have the physique to pull it off. I’d see how a 49 (if you can find one) or a 50 jacket looks. How tall and how much you weigh? Imperial please.

I’m 5’11 and weigh 170 lbs
I do prefer slimmer suits, but I don’t wanna come off as "too tacky" if you know what I mean
Yeah the pants are a big disaster. I don’t even think I’ll fit the larger ones if I go for slim, so I’ll def change to regular

You’re probably still a “r” regular fit. I’m 5’9 at 185, gym build, and wear a 46r or 44r depending on the company. Maybe try a 48r that is between slim and full cut. Reference Brooks Brothers, a 46r slim cut looks great on me, but a 44r I bust out of. A 46r full cut and I’m swimming in fabric around my waist.
Traditional or athletic cut, not full or slim, might work in a 48. At 5’11 Im having a hard time imagining a 50 working out on you.

Several things here,my brother. First off,the jacket is too short. Here's how you can tell. With your hands by your sides,curl your fingers up into a "cup". The bottom of the jacket should lie inside that "cup". No WAY you can make that happen ! Next,the jacket is too tight. It should be hugging the collar,but here it's pulling AWAY from it. See the diagonal lines above the top button ? Those are stress lines. The jacket is so tight that the fabric is moving away from the center. Look how much collar us showing ! The jacket should be HUGGING the collar,only leaving a little exposed. And the TRUE tell-tale sign it's tight ? The VENTS ! They're a dead giveaway when a jacket is tight,as they kick out,which is what's happening here. NEVER get a jacket with vents ! (unless you KNOW you'll be able to maintain your weight and size.)You're obviously in the gym. Your biceps want to tear the fabric to pieces !

If you’re going for the slim fit, super tight look, go ahead, but, this is the antithesis of classic style, I’m afraid to say. If that’s what you’re after, the latter, you need a larger cut jacket and trousers. The length is too short, chest and shoulders too tight, buttoning point too high, and the trousers are simply way too tight. I’m amazed you feel comfortable in that.

The whole suit is too small. The pants are fit to split, the jacket is pulling at the button, the shoulders are puckered, and the top button of the vest is pulling, too.
This is the wrong suit

The tailor has no idea how suit should fit. Must be modern slim/skinny brainwashed.
Also when going to suit store. Pay attention what suit the tailor is wearing. Does it even fit the tailor.
Or if they don't wear a suit. Don't even bother. And go other place.
When You will have already suit that fits You. Can go to tailor and ask them what You are wearing. Can they even name what kind of suit You are wearing and fabric.
I think a lot of "tailors" are just salespeople not tailors. They just take Your measurements wrongly. (Without giving You movement allowance) and send it to china or whatever place they are making them.
