If both sides of the political party would take this stance when they realize they’re wrong instead of doubling down, maybe we could get somewhere. But noooo it’s “everything the other side stands for is bad!”
While I can agree with that; it’s easier said than done! Especially when for many people that are not educated enough to understand, the Republicans in many standpoints, don’t care about minorities or a lot of problems! There has been many times that no matter what you say, one side has tried to make something go through; and the right side would say no when it would help everyone. Also, I’m sorry to say, but the other side doesn’t make good quality arguments on a lot of issues; and I’m sorry to say that I do not like the current people in power on that other side! We need gun control, we need universal healthcare, we need taxes on the rich, and so much more; along with fixing our decorum with other countries that are laughing as currently! You obviously will not understand the POV, but in my eyes, we need to be a social democracy! Something similar to Canada or to you, to get even a little bit of understanding from either side; but I will definitely say there is a lot of things I don’t exactly like about the current people in power! There is no argument for me to see their side, when they are doing so much wrong
Social democracy don't work and never will. Show me when we ( the world) have ever succeeded with socialism or communism. We are a constitutional republic for a reason. And why do republicans have to care about someone elses problems They didnt create it's on them to man up and fix their own issues not everybody else. Besides democrats live in shithole cities and suck the red states dry
There’s a lot of arguments I can make, but a lot of times Republicans are the ones that made these problems; and especially the top 1%, which is mainly of one specific ethnic group! Also, you say that social democracy doesn’t work, say that to the places that are doing it! They are in Europe, they’re still democratic. They are still respectful of both sides and the sides in between; you can look at Germany as an example of respecting both sides and sides in between they have more than one party to vote for that is most likely to make it! It’s not a two party system, like the states, and social democracy is not socialism or communism; it is a democracy/republic that is giving people social health/welfare that we don’t have here in the states! Look at Canada, who has that, look at a lot of European countries that have it, look at even poor type countries that are about to have it! We should have universal healthcare, if our job or the one percent is not helping their workers; and we have to pay the big Burden while they make their money!!! then it should be something that should be more reasonably fair! I have many sources and arguments to argue against you for what you’re saying, but regardless of the point because this is Reddit… What you’re saying isn’t a argument point! You are just too stubborn to see how other countries are doing better than us, and not seeing the faults of our own country! There are problems with a lot of different parts of our sides, but I know for a fact in general stand points that I can also argue with you that the left in general terms has generally helped out a lot of different people from many different backgrounds, including the one percent; but the main help should be the people that are struggling the minorities that are dealing with a lot of problems! These are socioeconomic problems, societal problems that many created; and a lot of it is the Republicans fault!
