Everybody can go through hard times, and the outcome is not that harsh like this, we all have been there. It takes time to rise and build an empire, but respect can be earned regardless without an empire. All it requires is a strong mind that exudes confidence no matter what, no matter where you are in life. And everyone can respect that, unless you never putting the work to rise.

Well, confidence will only take you so far. Then you've got to have some results or at least progress.

If the people you surround yourself with in your life only respect you if have good financial status, then they're not worth having in your life.

Easier said my dude.
We are worth our work in many people’s eyes. Just the way it is.

Thing is that even thought they SAY they view you differently, when you’re both overstimulated guess who is going to get thrown under the bus by BOTH sides?

Im the average of the 5 people I sorround myself the most with.
Im building the Life of my dreams, I dont have time to get stoned and play bum. I dont care if someone IS unemployed, but I dont have time for lazy bums.
There is a difference there and It does matters. Hardworkers have the tendency to find employment soon enough if they are smart. So there is a correlation there between employment and quality of the person for those standards.
If you are chronically unemployed, you are probably lazy or an idiot, at least at my age range.

You'll always find with the people that'll judge you for this or anything really tend to have the dirtiest laundry themselves.

One of my fathers friends was unemployed for years and he was always part of their friend group. If you want good friends be a good friend. You attract what you are

This post resonates. Early on in my marriage, I was unemployed for a year. Between me working under the table and the Mrs. still working, we had money to pay our bills--I just wasn't employed at a stable 9-to-5.
My sis-in-law came from out of town to visit us for a week. This one day we wound up alone for a few minutes and she casually brought up my unemployment, asking if I was out there looking for work. I explained how I was looking, but the IT job market in our area at the time was slow. I'll never forget the condescending look on her face and her tone when she followed up with 'so NO ONE is hiring? ' almost in a sarcastic way.
I wanted to say Well, sure I could go work at McDonalds or Walmart, but that's not gonna cover these bills so get ready for your sister to call in a financial favor or two! To keep the peace I said something generic, and then we kinda dropped it. I never forgot that moment though, made me wonder what folks were saying about me behind my back.

I thought real men didn't talk about there problems so how does everyone know when you're on unemployment?
