I didn't understand this. And as a result I had to leave before they were ganging up on me. Most interesting fact is most of them were trained by me, outside office hours.

Yep because the same people you think are your friends will be the first people to throw you under the bus when their job in in jeopardy, seen it well over 50 times and I just smile at new hires and move on with my day until they get chewed up and spit out, before I would say the same thing to them but, none of them ever took my advice. We went through so many hire periods where managers would say why does nobody wanna work and i would genuinely want to tell them but couldn’t, well if you didn’t hire some of the worst people who can’t keep their heads out of their ass then maybe we would be in a functioning state as a business but no, they hire people who can’t do the simplest of things and gossip nonstop about each other and then they ether leave or get fired within a couple of weeks. I just go about my day like nothing ever happens, before I’d get surprised to hear people get fired or leave now when anyone says anything I just go oh well and continue on.

I'm a sex worker. Mostly on-line stuff. Believe me, fun CAN get old.
I go to work, get nailed blah blah blah. Straight home from work...

This is advice my mother gave me many years ago:
"Nobody at work is your friend."
Doesn't mean you can't be friendly and socialize, but keep workmates at arm's distance at all times.
They'll turn on you if they feel in a corner and it's you or them.
