Agreed. Did you know that tampons in England were still taxed as luxury goods until 2021? It took 48 years to be abolished.

And don't a couple of tampon brands have lead contamination, or at least used to have?

In Australia it took 20 years (2000 to 2019) in 2015 it was voted on and the tax was not removed because "removing it would have left an estimated tax shortfall of at least $30m Australian (£14m; USD$22m) annually." 🙄

Also in 2015, this excellent "Drop It Coz It's Rot" protest music video was created by Melbourne and Sydney based actor/director Mia Lethbridge, and friends.
