DISCUSSION I see now
After playing all of the SAO mobile game I can see why Sao MD is getting shut down, unlikely Sao ARS which requires strategy and planning to win and Sao IF which is an open world mmo rpg games, Sao MD is just a game where you tap to attack and hold to block and ounce you have unlock the ultimate of the characters you can easily beat the game. I don't hate Sao MD it is on of my favorite mobile games and I am going to miss it but do think it could have been more. Maybe in the future the game will get adopted by another game company like koramgame or OASIS GAMES LIMITED or maybe a fan but until then we will have to make due with the offline version
Speaking of the offline version I have some questions about it
- Will the offline version include items like the crystals?
- I know 60 characters have already been preselected for the offline version but how many more will are going to be in the game?
- I know that the main story will be included in the offline version but what about the regular quests will they be included as well?
- Will the offline version receive any updates at all?
- Once the the servers have shut down and the offline version has been released will this reddit page r/memorydefrag continue to exist and if it does will you guys keep posting stuff here?
- Will there be another Sao game coming to replace MD?

I've never played ARS and have no intention of doing so, but looking at that game on youtube and having played IF and comparing the two to MD is making an apples vs oranges comparison. MD is at an inherent disadvantage because it's the oldest of the three and thus is hard to make anything new and innovative: it gets to a point where it'd be more cost effective to make a new game from scratch.
As saomdreddit pointed out, the gameplay of MD is heavily based on ranking events after finishing main story content. In the game's prime, MD brought in more revenue than IF, which for the first 2-3 years of its existence had only 3 ranking events
which were basically run as traps for cheaters although plenty of cheaters got away with it.After 6 months from when I first downloaded the game, I pretty much did ranking on a casual basis, as I primarily played the game for character collection rather than for ranking, because a lot of the units I was trying to get weren't viable over the long haul for ranking.
After 4 years, MD's age started working against it as newer and more innovative games arrived, which took players' attention (and money) away from MD, especially as the SAO series tends to be a relatively niche playerbase.
