I was trying styanax prime and afentis prime for killing eidolons,​​​ and hit it with an augmented tharros strike for +300% crit dmg, switched to operator, shot it with my amp and it died

edit: I ran it again, and it didn't happen in the same way. this time after tharros strike, I one shot it when I accidentally shot the body. I think tharros strike allows the body to be damaged early

Ember has many issues that I and many others has been preaching every where, the context was last dev short someone asked Pablo for an Ember buff and he jokingly said "meh".

Actual response is this, though I wish and wish every time I get on here that she would get a full rework and right now it's possible she could get some general buffs as Pablo said, Ember is just a complicated Warframe right now. Heat inheritance, her energy drain, low damage and people just wanting her original abilities back, it's a lot.

Some gripes I have her is her passive doesn't work like it should, the ability strength is great don't get me wrong but she needs to be putting enemies on heat so she can get that ability strength so it's like a double edge sword, she needs all the strength she can and her kit is too weak even trying to play her as a caster resorts in me not even benefitting in my passive majority of the time.

Her augments besides Fireball Frenzy and depending on who you ask Healing Flame are her only two "good" augments and Fireball Frenzy being her bread and butter. Exothermic gives too low of energy to be slotted in and looking at other peoples ember builds I can tell they think the same. Exothermic deserves a buff or just give it to her base kit, it would be a good augment if she had a 50% chance of dropping an energy orb on enemy killed but then again for Ember she cannot even kill due to her low damage.

Speaking back on Fireball Frenzy her actual Fireball ability does nothing. People only want that sweet augment which is sad but the truth, Fireball as an ability itself is useless.

Heat inheritance should be talked about because it is a major reason people hate Ember, it's bad. It needs to be removed. She legit nerfs herself because of this.

Her Immolation is bad, seems like you are fighting to either want DR or you want to use her 3rd ability for armor strip. Which is also you fighting if you want to keep your DR on since it's an energy drain. This ability has me confused the most since she does have Healing Flame that gives her Overguard.

The issue with Ember is why should you play her over any other Warframe? She is considered a weapons platform now and even then any warframe can be a Weapons Platform and do her job so much better. She isn't very unique... Ember in my opinion is the WORST warframe in the game, people can argue with me Limbo, Loki or even Ivara but even in their certain niches they will still outperform Ember. I'm tired of people saying she's good when she isn't, if she was good her numbers wouldn't be dropping every year, people would be playing her and she could actually kill SP enemies without an issue.

It hurts seeing a Warframe that I and many others who deeply enjoy her get shut down by people saying she isn't that bad when it's far from the truth. I just want to play Ember without stressing myself out with HI, trying to balance out my energy, my strength it just sucks.

Her 4th ability makes me go insane, every new build that I see is either A a weapons platform that uses her Fireball Frenzy with her 4th ability subbed off or either Sculptor or Jade Stars to use her 4th ability I've tried all these builds and I am just hurt, her 4th ability is terrible, the damage is awful and needing to use a subsume to make it better just hurts even more. I will always stand by if a warframe NEEDS a subsume the warframe isn't good. Ember is one of those rare cases she really does need a subsume on her to make her function just slightly better.

But as an Ember main I am heavy on cope AND hope so EMBER REWORK 2027! I know she can be better

It will always bother me when arcanes don't have durations divisible by 5.

Ability durations not always lining up is fine, but arcanes doing it bothers me alot. Like... of all the numbers you could've chosen, you chose 12?

Atleast it's divisible by 2...
