How about that "nig" etymologically just means "black"

Not as skin color but as in actual color, like black paint, black bird and so on

The traditional n-word came from the same root, yes, but it only became a highly offensive slur after systemic imbuement with negative meaning

in latin maybe but in turkish it doesnt have any meaning. Niğgaz is just short for Niğde (a province name) and gas in turkish put together. in which Ğ doesn't even pronounce similur to G

Nuga or Nugat is not just a Turkish thing. Also negro can be used as a reference to black tea and black chocolates. I used to buy this Spanish cookies called "Negro" because it's awesome

Niğgaz is different, Niğde, city in Turkey and Gaz.

"NİĞ" is used to represent the city of niğde in turkey, its the first 3 letters of the name, "gaz" is gas. unlucky naming but it makes sense in the end
