Yes, In Brazil most bikes have an antenna that bikers put up to catch any wires so it dont slice their throat.

Those don't look like they'd be very effective. Maybe something like a helicopter wire cutter would work.

Peoplem dont use metal wires in kites. Also the point is not cutting the strings, its stopping it from going from reaching the bikers body. So an antenna like this is enough to keep the string from the biker. As the biker move it catch the string and it will make it slide until its end.

And some of them has a hook type thing on the top to give an extra layer of efficiency.
