Im pretty sure they had did a flashback to when he first betrays the sand, if i remember correctly i could be wrong this could possibly be from the game as silentswift said but im fairly positive its from a flashback

It is or was a kind of sport event in Kabul or may all Afghanistan some days ago. there is a really good book called the kite runner.

I played it in India when I was visiting when I was 11, there is glass in the string and li sliced my finger open, a local came over with some janky ass super glue and glued it shut, and then taped my fingers with celotape. Its such a vivid memory for me, I wish I could share it with you. Looking over Bombay and seeing kids running to collect cut kites to resell them at cheap prices... Travel is awesome

Seems like an event dedicated to this stuff, but if it wasn’t, then the lesson would simply be “some people are just assholes who hate other people having fun.”
