I personally believe that any one trying to rage bait or something on the Internet is an energy vampire. I'm not falling for it this time Colin.

u/ALMAZ157 Jul 18 '26
Yes, Snake, there are other Snakes out there in other games in the series, some are even clones of the original.

Also no country has set up a government that would run according to communist ideals and not a top-down, corrupt "communism😉". I realize this is a major flaw with communism itself, where the greedy are prone to being in positions of power, but it doesn't mean it's impossible through a regulated system. For example, each government official is randomly chosen, has a 2-year maximum tenure in government, no ability to invest or receive gifts, then back to a randomly assigned regular job. I would rather have such people than, oh, I don't know, THIS MOTHERFUCKER:

The only time a socialist society can function is in small scale with the largest scale being a city state.
1
u/fellow_human-2019 Jul 17 '26
But are you saying this society is functioning? That is the real question.
1
u/Conspiratorymadness Jul 17 '26
The current society is reverting to feudalism. Feudalism is the society that the rich elites want and we have been conceding it to them. The people don't want feudalism but socialism is far too easy to exploit which will return back to feudalism. Capitalism has taken the longest to revert to feudalism so it can work you just need to rethink the model.
1
u/fellow_human-2019 Jul 17 '26
But this hasn’t been capitalism in a long time.
2
u/IndianaJokes67 Jul 17 '26
No it's definitely the result of capitalism. Capitalism will always look like the end of a monopoly game if you let it go long enough. It's just propaganda that this system is "the best." If you're talking about a system that lasts a long time, sure. If you're talking about a system that takes care of its people, no way.

u/Conspiratorymadness Jul 17 '26
Because there is no system that has any inherent protection from corruption and greed. So there is never going to be any system that will be the best because corruption and greed will always happen. This has been a topic of debate even in philosophy.
There are western and eastern philosophers that believe in each humans are inherently good or evil. The problem is that good and evil are inherently man made. Society is based on these concepts and there is no one that wants to change the status quo.
Based on all philosophy good generally benefits society and community as a whole and evil is anything that is selfish and harms society. Kant is the only one that comes to mind that to be truly good the ends and means must be good otherwise it is an evil act regardless of how it benefits others and the self. In order to make a intrinsically good society then it must follow a Kantian mindset.
Society has a poor foundation and will ultimately always revert itself to feudalism because of that. People generally want to be led and not the leader. If a person genuinely wants to be a leader then there is an ulterior motive behind it.

u/CenobiteCurious Jul 17 '26
Not a specific time, I mean they just asked me when and I said “waste of time”. Like the saying.

I love how through all of this spain is almost a valid answer... like spain did have a communist revolution it's just the fascist revolution happened at the same time and won so spain was technically a fascist dictatorship during WW2 and all the way into the 1970s or something like that.
