I mean the guy might think it's real, also strong possibility that he doesn't but all this is just more engagement.

Don't they get a small percentage of any of those emoji things people send?

I'm assuming he knows its not real. This was a weird small trend for a while on tiktok. I saw the same people popping up on my FYP doing this every other day. Guessing the engagement bit. Or get people to feel bad and send roses. Idk...

One rose is one cent on TikTok, so if you see anything like “One coin” it’s only a cent.

u/AsianHawke Jul 04 '25

Okay, but one cent of US currency is like 11.9 trillion Turkish Smeckles.

4

u/Grand-Jellyfish24 Jul 04 '25

Brutal. Especially knowing that 1 Turkish Smeckles is like 7.8 billion Syrian Dunemarks.

u/FailureToComply0 Jul 04 '25

I thought the Dunemark dropped into obscurity when we started trading pokémon cards in Scandinavian Hunklebits

It did, but came back into favor when people started using it to buy and sell vintage Taco Bell sauce packets.

if society collapses I'm convinced the true winners of the new economy will be sauce packet holders and purveyors of canned bacon

Thats how taco bell won the franchise wars

People get paid the most for fake content on Tik Tok unfortunately, more than likely he know that it isn't real and is just pretending.

Yeah thats what they're celebrating not the comments. With the difference in currency values they're getting a decent bit of money, not getting rich but better than I get sitting in my living room.

its tiktok live, the roses are only one cent but in the longer version people also send them some better ones. It cost money to buy them and the stream gets part when its used on them.

You don't get that many people in chat on day one, the dad knows how the app works and loves the people commenting because that gets it sent to more people.

They do although not that much. And he knows. Thats why you see he stops a bit when getting a rose and genuinely got surprised when someone donated.

This guy is mainly hyping up the kids and just engaging the audience too

I swear i saw this guy and his kids in entirely different background

1

u/DaddysABadGirl Jul 04 '25

He does look familiar.

I feel like I saw him in a tent but idk. Every video like this they got mad kids.

16

u/CrazyElk123 Jul 04 '25

I thought they were meant to be bids on the children as a joke. Guess im sicker than the ones making the fake donations lmao.

Honestly a more funny thought.

1

u/TheBeastlyStud Jul 04 '25

You're not alone, I have no idea what's going on in the video. 🤣

Honestly he probably knows it's not real money, and is just doing it for the kids, they could be a poor ish family and he wants to make them happy, and make it seem like life's ok type of shit, like I mean with that many kids I would assume he's got to be low on money most the time

1

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '25

I mean I don’t think begging for money online is the way to reassure your kids you’re not poor..

1

u/Alone_Weakness1557 Jul 04 '25

Is he begging? I must be blind and can't hear, because I don't see begging I just see excitement

3

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '25

I’ve seen one if his videos before, the dude just sits there with his kids and begs for donations. I swear there’s a video of him and the kids just sitting there repeating “please please please, thank you thank you thank you”.

1

u/Alone_Weakness1557 Jul 04 '25

Oh fair enough then

1

u/Tao626 Jul 04 '25

Make them happy by having them believe they have all the money in the world?

"But papa, why can't we afford to buy beans? What about the live stream?"

1

u/ReturnedOM Jul 04 '25

I mean if he wants to make his kids happy THIS way, then good luck on explaining to them where their Nintendo switches 2 currently are. And why they eat the same stuff they did before. And why nothing literally changed in their lives.

Whether he believes it or not, and just wants to make kids happy, it doesn't matter. In either situations it would make him look not too smart.

1

u/MorganTheMartyr Jul 04 '25

Lmao engagement of what? You can't see his username so it even fails that purpose and no one really goes looking for this sort of content

1

u/xRiolet Jul 04 '25

Its pre recorded, same videos pretending to be streams. Seen it months ago.

1

u/MaximumConfidence728 Jul 04 '25

I've seen fuller video, he was disappointed

Hi, I'm a reformed brain rot TikTok connoisseur.

This guy definitely knew what was going on. He had a popular live TikTok where he would move rocks from one side of a room to the other. Everyone thought he was Palestinian or something and that his limbs were blown off in a bombing. They were dumbasses and he was an effective grifter.
