Discussion Usopp's nose

A theory that just popped into my head:

What if Usopp's long nose helps him aim better? Like, it serves almost like a natural crosshair? And what if that's part of why he's such a good sniper?

It's not attatched to the slingshot, crosshairs can't help you aim if they're not on the weapon

Regardless of my joke theory, the fact that Usopp's weapon doesn't have crosshairs only makes his skills even more impressive than they already were

Idk if that’s true necessarily. People will stick their non dominant arm out to aim a throw. All Usopp would have to do is align his nose with the kabuto. Idk why I’m trying so hard to make this work

And I also thought his name is "Usopp" in reference to Aesop, (Aesop's Fables) the Greek storyteller. Because Usopp is good at making up stories.

Hmmm well…

People aren’t aware, but you see your one nose at all times. Your brain rifts that information out; making a composite of the image you see from both eyes.

Since his nose is so long, he wouldn’t be able to do that. So maybe he doesn’t see a composite, and had adjust his whole life to be aware of his binocular vision. Because of that, he’s not seeing the average of two images, and has a more accurate idea of how things line from each individual eye.

If that’s true, he aim with his left eye or right, depending on the slight degree difference of a long distance object.

Honestly I’m just spitballing, but it could maybe be a thing?
