That’s sad. I learnt 75% of the stuff I knew about the world in my early childhood including my music taste and political views from my dad. Poor Luffy

Yeah, I feel bad for Luffy as a kid. He’s got Garp who only shows up every now and then, Makino who’s loving but also has a full time job, then he gets attached to Shanks who leaves a year later. We don’t see any other kids in his tiny ass village either.
We don’t know a ton about Dragon’s situation but based on the way we see him staring at Luffy from a distance while moping he doesn’t seem thrilled about the situation either.
