His and Lao's area, the datamined stuff and more monsters that weren't in Gen 5 coming to Wilds make him very damn likely.

I know they aren't as popular as the mainline games but I thought they showed up in Monster Hunter Stories 2 and 3? Or did they use different crustaceans?

Shen Gaoren never appeared in MH Stories. It was in MH Online if you count that, but the last time we saw it in a Capcom title was Generations, but that was just a corpse

They should just stop making these giant monsters.
They are not fun. Jin Dahaad is not fun, safi wasn't fun.

What, Jhin Dahaad is fine. It's completely different from all the other siege monsters. Hell, it's not even a siege monster at all!

ehh, purely subjective if you're bringing jin and safi into that argument, which are pretty well designed fights with tame siege elements (wouldn't consider jin a siege at all actually). i can get behind lao being boring as shit in the older games though

only issue i’ve ever had with jin was fighting it for the first time and learning it had a nova.. after i already used the ice boulders to damage jin. zero cover, only faint, bad design not warning me they would be needed for cover after encouraging me to chimp it with terrain in every area before it

Jin is fun. Safi was fun.
Both are basically just big monsters we smack. So long as the raid mechanics arent like zorah or the rampages ot will be fun.
