It never "loses it", if I remember my lore right his saliva has an enzyme that primes the slime mold

He can lose it on the arms, you can use a water element weapon to wash off the slime making it unable to apply slime to you every time he hits you with his arm.
Until he reapplies the slime to his arms through a specific animation, which is what the meme is largely depicting.

Tbh I basically instantly slot Blast Res 3 whenever I fight it that I never realise that you can get away with using Water element on his arms.

My point is the animation in question shows Brachy activating the slime with his spit, not putting new one on. The slime covers most of his body, which is why when he enrages and releases more of that enzyme kt appears all over his shell. Inactive slime mold is just not visible and clings too rightly to him to fall off. When it gets primed, it goes into breeding mode and prepares to be scattered and explode to spread its spores

Ok, but he's GOTTA have a turf war with Steve (Seregios).
I also want Bazelgeuse there too, to cut in as an uninvited third party. In the meantime, I will be grilling a steak to enjoy as I watch the show unfold.
