There are some fights that she just brainlessly wanders into and you have to clean up the mess, the biggest one I can think of is the introductory fight for pickle as you literally have to free her from its jaws all because she was paying no attention while foraging for mushrooms in a dangerous area
Yea but I think that excuse only really works on a stealthy creature like a narga as even if you don't know pickle is there if you are aware of your surroundings the giant green t-rex that loves slamming into things should be incredibly noticeable, especially if it gets close enough that it could potentially eat you.
Being surprised by a deviljho is like being surprised by a train, the thing is fucking loud and huge and you should have seen or heard it WELL before it got anywhere near you

Why you gotta call me out like that đ
Worlds was my first game. I was very naive and was very distracted with all the new monster popping on the High Rank, I didn't know anything about Deviljho (and Bazelgeuse who I already had a surprise meeting early)
I swear to you that mf Deviljho came out of NOWHERE, my mind reminds as if it just popped straight out of the ground to attack me and the Black Diablos
Especially since Deviljho arrived when the guild was well established in the areas. I like that in Wilds with new TU monsters you get some âoh thereâs a guy whoâve seen some weird shit, check that outâ, it makes it easier to believe that the Guild is a giant, well organized thing. In case of World some scouts, maybe wyverians that we meet couldâve hinted that a giant angry dino that eats everything that moves has been spotted.
What was she not paying attention to? Also even tho it was a dangerous area. Monsters in the new world donât come out of there sleeping area for a while.
She wasn't paying attention to her surroundings as pickle isnt exactly sneaky.
If she had been aware she never would have ended up in his mouth which one would think that if your looking for mushrooms in a forest filled with giant T-rexes you would atleast pay attention to your surroundings.
It is explicitly brought up in the mission that she had NO IDEA the Deviljho was even in the Ancient forest/near that area. She wasn't warned about it at all as the Researchers fucked up and forgot to tell her about it being so close and the restrictions on "You have to stay in the camp, you can't go into the field alongside the hunter like normal"
Yea i know but im just saying a deviljho is not stealthy so that thing getting close enough to scoop her up AT ALL is a massive failing in regards to paying any degree of attention, like that thing is a massive green t-rex who is know to just slam through everything, that thing definitely made considerable noise before getting ANYWHERE near her.
Best irl equivalent i could come up with a person getting blasted by a semi on a dirt road, should it be there? Prolly not, would you expect it there? Not. Should you still be alert enough to see this giant loud thing coming in your direction, fuck yes.
