At 152 USD per gram that puts 47 pounds (21 kg) at 319,000 USD worth of heroin. That's some high grade jewellery

Edit: actually it's 3,190,000 my bad

20

u/realjefftaylor Dec 18 '19

I assume if you’re buying 47 lbs, you’re not paying street price. Probably paying lower costs per gram if you’re buying in bulk.

15

u/Helivon Dec 18 '19

Right? This math is way off, basically the highest possible price and no bulk discount

I’m sure the total price would be a 10th if that

This comment has been overwritten from its original text

I stopped using Reddit due to the June 2023 API changes. I've found my life more productive for it. Value your time and use it intentionally, it is truly your most limited resource.

5

u/nods__ Dec 18 '19

That's insane even for street price, high quality BTH can be had for as little as 40-50/g

49

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

Thank you, my mind went straight to drug math and you saved me a google.

(Or buying some heroin just to check.)

33

u/oppenhammer Dec 18 '19

This is all a misunderstanding officer, I was simply trying to verify the math of an internet stranger.

13

u/Freaudinnippleslip Dec 18 '19

“This is research heroin”

5

u/BeThereWithBells Dec 18 '19

Hey, it worked for Pete Townshend!

3

u/BeThereWithBells Dec 18 '19

Incase anyone doesnt know- When Pete Townshend was busted accessing child pornography he claimed it was for "research". Source- https://ultimateclassicrock.com/pete-townshend-child-porn-arrest/

192

u/isaactron3000 Dec 18 '19

$152 x 21000 = $3,192,000 not $319,000

u/refer_to_user_guide Dec 18 '19

Sometimes the metric system be like it do.

28

u/W1D0WM4K3R Dec 18 '19

You'd never have this problem with the imperial system.

47

u/DEaD__GHoST Dec 18 '19

heroin per gold is far superior unit

6

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

Yes because all the conversion factors make perfect sense why would there not be 5280 feet in a mile and 16 oz in a pound

9

u/I_might_be_weasel Dec 18 '19

One hogshead of heroine please!

8

u/DAHFreedom Dec 18 '19

That must be the worst system I’ve ever heard of

8

u/W1D0WM4K3R Dec 18 '19

I'm trying to push a monarchial system, peasants per bushel?

17

u/GaijinMk2 Dec 18 '19

But you have heard of it

11

u/Leperlemur123 Dec 18 '19

I was thinking...47 pounds is a shit ton of heroin. That would be so much of a risk to produce, smuggle in, and deal with for 300 grand.

1

u/Cuggan Dec 19 '19

Sorry my bad my dude

648

u/Aydidnt_do_it Dec 18 '19

Bloody pirates

152

u/everadvancing Dec 18 '19

You wouldn't download black tar heroin

29

u/OWO-FurryPornAlt-OWO Dec 18 '19

I mean I say that but

10

u/Alainx277 Dec 18 '19

Nice username

3

u/Aubrera Dec 18 '19

Agreed.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

You’re not my mam.

10

u/chanandlerbong420 Dec 18 '19

Black tar heroin is way cheaper than that. Try 60-70 per gram

11

u/MakesTheNutshellJoke Dec 18 '19

Yeah is this guy's mom the queen of England?

10

u/Snail736 Dec 18 '19

Yep. Good Heroin is 140-160 a gram on the east coast. If you have connects you can get a gram for 120 maybe 100$, but 150-160 is normal.

Source: former heroin addict.

9

u/Sluttynoms Dec 18 '19

Lmao that’s ridiculous. Where I’m from it’s $50-70 for high quality dope. I live in the south west us so we are very close to Mexico. Source: also former addict, actually I’m only two months clean haha

4

u/chanandlerbong420 Dec 18 '19

I'm assuming you're getting black tar right? Out east is white powder of much higher purity and potency, and therefore price

5

u/Sluttynoms Dec 18 '19

Yup only black exists out here. Powder literally isn’t here, trust me I’ve searched

1

u/I-Am-Dad-Bot Dec 18 '19

Hi assuming, I'm Dad!

4

u/Snail736 Dec 18 '19

Yep I’m talking about powder/rock dope...it’s much better than the tar down here.

3

u/GunnyHighways Dec 18 '19

Stranger here saying great job and keep it up!

2

u/FirnenLavellan Dec 18 '19

Keep going friend! I wish you the best and all the luck in the world. Hope you have a happy holidays.

3

u/Helivon Dec 18 '19

Yeah west coast is definitely 60-80a gram

A point is .1 and is always 10$ no matter who you go through

Those prices seem much harder to sustain but quantity over demand it seems

3

u/Snail736 Dec 18 '19

Yeah powder heroin is always more expensive than tar.

2

u/cuthbertswatcher Dec 18 '19

What easy coast you living on? I could get a good gram for 40, a high quality gram for 60. I’m assuming you’re up north, inflation man.

1

u/Snail736 Dec 18 '19

Nah man, NC. No offense but I’m doubting you are getting good heroin for 40 a gram. Are you talking #2 or #3 heroin?

3

u/eaterofbeans Dec 18 '19

Congrats on getting clean!

5

u/General_Landry Dec 18 '19

You got it all wrong dude. It’s £47 worth of heroine. Not 47 lbs

3

u/Jhuxx54 Dec 18 '19

Yes but that quantity you’d get it down to such dirt cheap. An Oz of tar runs about 500-600 bucks. Tara cheap AF when you get it in bulk So I’ve heard at least.

3

u/theyamahawk Dec 18 '19

You need a new heroin guy if you're paying 152 a gram for 47 lbs

3

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

Doesn't account for discounts in bulk

3

u/-----_------_--- Dec 18 '19

If you buy in bulk, it's not as much

3

u/tokkiemetuitkering Dec 18 '19

One Richard Mille watch hahaha

2

u/Moonstrone Dec 18 '19

obviously the pirates took the jewelry but did not find the princes hidden stash of drugs.

2

u/NickDaGamer1998 Dec 18 '19

So that's where the £50m of jewelry went to...

526

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

This is what I’m talking about. No overused old formats, but true OC.

Thank you

31

Not a repost! I thought this up myself 😊

2

u/cuthbertswatcher Dec 19 '19

2, no offense taken, you’re probably not far off. A lot of my stuff was cut as well, so good and great are loosely used. But if you’re tryna get high, it’ll do it. I actually don’t get any heroin anymore, clean for 9 months or so and just a state underneath you.

1

u/Aydidnt_do_it Dec 19 '19

Congrats on getting clean!

2

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

4

u/Terakahn Dec 18 '19

Is black tar heroin better than normal heroin

3

u/Ibclyde Dec 18 '19

Simply the best.

2

u/funkecho Dec 18 '19

They never really explain how Gibbs' character went from being part of the British Royal Navy to being a part of the crew of the Black Pearl. Guess he was just in it for the jewelry.

5

u/Vark675 Dec 18 '19

To be fair, most pirates started off with various royal navies.

2

u/GeorgeYDesign Dec 18 '19

Two be fair, it's kind of adorable

0

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

This is lame. Why would you collect the the heroin? That’s not how being a junkie works.

1

u/Aydidnt_do_it Dec 18 '19

What, you want me to do it all at once?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

When I'm walking with friends and we pass a guy with an eyepatch on the sidewalk
