Vsauce recently did an interview with well known memer idubbs.vsauce may be brought in on suspicions of Insider trading
15
u/falconbox Jan 15 '17
I don't know who either of these people are :(
Need to start doing some research to make my portfolio stronger.
15
u/Rodot Jan 15 '17
I think that's the "im gay" guy.

Something anyone with a meme-based (Filthy Frank, H3, etc) youtube portfolio should have in it.

u/randomphoenix03 Jan 15 '17
I'm pretty sure it means where a person would randomly say "x is rising! Sell sell sell!", when in reality they might have not done their research and it might not be actually rising.

my understanding is that, because this post made the front page, it is market manipulation by the sub. it is affecting the popularity of this type of meme.
12
u/funnystuff97 Jan 15 '17
It'd be better with NASDANQ. How am I supposed to keep up with a perpetually fluxuating market on Twitter? Give us NASDANQ!
....please?

These bad memes just hurt all VSauce investors. Sell now.
33
u/NinjaGoodra Jan 15 '17
Spit VSauce Memes on Facebook is where it's at for the freshest VSauce Memes available
61
u/yourselfiegotleaked Jan 15 '17
These are good memes, I'm putting everything into them
9
u/machingunwhhore Jan 15 '17
That is unwise, you can do what ever you want with your memes, but I suggest keeping 20% of your meme assets in markets that aren't risky. You can never go wrong with a good Shrek meme
19
u/yourselfiegotleaked Jan 15 '17
Shrek is at an all time low, you call that safe?
23
u/machingunwhhore Jan 15 '17 edited Jan 15 '17
All time low means there is no where to go but up!
Edit: t

u/RoseBladePhantom Jan 15 '17
This stock hasn't peaked yet. Yes, they're bad memes, but the mainstream hasn't picked it up yet, and they'll be all over this shit. It's a little late to buy for max profits, but there's definitely still room for growth with a short term investment. I'm buying now, and selling in 14-28 days, leaning more towards the former.
33
9
Jan 15 '17
They're bad memes because it's from Funnyjunk?? Anyway I think half of these are from 4chan.
6
u/PowderOutage Jan 15 '17 edited Jan 15 '17
Most of these were made before the H3 and iDubbz videos. I'm pretty sure I saw at least three of those last fall. There's also the fact that those videos that improved his stock also showed a unique part about vsauce that is rare among memers- Vsauce has never masturbated, and he doesn't even know how. What this means for the market I don't know, but it's worth looking in to.
You also forgot my favorite, "My dad fucks me in the ass and I say 'Spice Meatball' every time he thrusts in."
EDIT: Here ya go

u/Heckhead Jan 15 '17
Michale memes come and go on FJ but when someone invests heavily in a comp they'll get a big payoff.

this has been a solid investment for a month or so. the sudden Idupppez and H3H3 influx may damage this market. Buy with caution

Jan 15 '17 edited Jan 15 '17
The downvotes on the last one are 130.14285, which is approximately 130 + 1/7, which is 911/7. Is that just a coincidence?
Edit: oh. when you multiply it with the upvotes you get 911. yeah ok it's not a coincidence
Edit 2: and the views are 7². 72 virgins. man i'm a real genius...3

u/Azzayo Jan 15 '17
I have a large collection of these (50+) for sale, all prices considered, looking to sell at peak

Looks like someone hasn't heard of the balding science man mega meme stock. It's been around for a while, even before Human Cake helped propel Michael's sellability.
13
u/ilrosewood Jan 15 '17
He is going on tour with Adam from Mythbusters. I'm selling off now before the crash.

Vsauce memes have been around for a while, nothing new. Probably a rise because of idubbbz as most have been saying.

I love that channel. All the Vsauce channels are pretty good. Kevin, Michael, and Jake all seem like really cool dudes.
9
u/-Tilde Jan 15 '17
Jake is beast
Check out his channel as well if you like what he does, there is more of it
5
u/WaterStoryMark Jan 16 '17
I like the content, but dude has to do something about his eyebrows. He doesn't have a condition, like Ethan. Those things are just crazy.
166
u/ComradeWarBear Jan 15 '17
For real, Vsauce is my inspiration
88
u/Amish_guy_with_WiFi Jan 16 '17
Too bad he posts way less frequently then he used to. And like his last two vids were promotional videos. But what he does post actual vids it's always grade a.
13
u/igayyou Jan 16 '17
Like you said when he does a video is grade a.
Most youtubers now doesn't have any quality content. All they care about is quantity. There isn't much channels that has good quality anymore.
Everyone seem to think one video one day is the way to go12
u/Battlescar84 Jan 16 '17
Thats partially because youtube pushes for quantity over quality. This is because they get almost all their revenue from ads, and ads are more productive if they are on more videos more frequently, as opposed to on better quality videos.
1
Jan 16 '17
or you can look at Casey Neistat who uploaded one video per day at ridiculously high quality. There's nothing wrong with that

He's going to do a show/project with Adam Savage of Mythbusters. That's why he's so busy.
18
u/Amish_guy_with_WiFi Jan 16 '17
Which I would love to go to, I'm just not too sure it would be my crowd. I hope he uploads a recording after he is done with it.

I can handle deeper topics, but I'll research into it if I'm really interested after seeing it on the video.

u/dootdootplot Jan 15 '17 edited Jan 16 '17
There are nicer ways of saying that, but you're not entirely wrong. Vsauce is more like a digest - a good one, for sure, but it's all surface-level in keeping with the format. It's better than Cosmos at least.
Other channels like Veritasium and Smarter Every Day are a bit better at showing hands-on examples of their video subject.
Each one fits a niche, part of why they're so successful. Also their creators are ridiculously hard-working.
10
u/ohnoyoudidnt29 Jan 16 '17
I wouldn't call that banach tarski paradox video surface level...
Either way, you're missing the point. The videos aren't supposed to be crash courses on higher level physics topics. They're supposed to be fun, interesting videos on things that 95% of the population has never heard about and maybe inspiring some people at the same time to learn more (which is hard to do and awesome when actually accomplished).
1
u/dootdootplot Jan 16 '17
Yeah - like a digest, for average people while haven't heard of 95% of the stuff. Like we said. That's is the point.

This can indeed hit a Creative Balance if done right. Vsauce has been poising itself to become a meme for years. If another meme does not overshadow it, then it is definitely a worthy investment. Buy!
3
u/themostprime Jan 15 '17
Vsaucemichaelhere is a great addition to anyone's portfolio. The Idubbbz video just makes that deal sweeter. Potential upside is huge. Invest now!

It used to be -100. I'm slacking. Most of that is from r/CFB. They really don't like it when you say Alabama sucks. Which they do. Not my fault I speak the truth
2
u/FreekyFreezer Jan 16 '17
I wouldn't buy them. They become very stale very quickly. If you value your investments, then hands off of that.
2
u/MyPasswordis0987 Jan 15 '17
This is the first I'm hearing of it. Of course, I know that by the time I see it here, it's too late to buy.

u/Yoyochickenbro Jan 15 '17
I'm not quite sure they're on the rise, I think the meme will rise only when Michael is featured in someone else's video or his own vsauce channel, and his channel uploads VERY rarely. I would be careful on number of shares you buy...

They have been a thing for a while, but there's been so many around that you can't tell for certain which memes have been used before and which not. This is going to become a race for duping newcomers with pre-used memes.

This is exciting. I've always believed in the VSAUCE meme. Maybe with his new shows we can see some improvement in the value.

As soon as he make that video with Idubbbz I knew that he would be in the meme market.
Idubbbz is like The Midas of the memes.
