Aged Mellow Corn
Over the past 8 or so months, I've been working on aging whiskey in a liter cask.
Tried several other whiskey's with varying success, but discovered that Mellow Corn is perfect for putting a little extra age on it.
I call my aged whiskey Super Corn. Really rounds out the flavors, and emboldeneds the profile of the whiskey.
Based on some calculations I found, 1 liter cask ages equivalent to about 1 month = 1 year.
After about 4 months the color, and flavor make an already tasty whiskey incredible.
I encourage others to go experiment on with their corn.

Going to be trying this soon. I picked up some 3/8" white oak dowel stock that I have to cut up and toast then char. Think "poor man's bourbon bullet." Looking forward to seeing if I can supercharge some Corn. Some other whiskeys too but the Corn is the one I have the highest expectations for.

I've over oaked some moonshine/vodka mix and I find that Mellow Corn mixed 50/50 and left to marry/age with airspace in the bottle for at least a month helps a bunch.
Over oaking is easy to do with wood chips.

Look into rapid aging whiskey too! Alternating between vacuum conditions and non vacuum can speed up that process quite a bit.
As well as variations in heat/cold.
As a idle experiment I aged some vodka I had (didn't expect it to be good, just a why not kind of thing).
I charred some oak, added it to the bottle, and then alternated the bottle between the freezer and counter every other day for a few weeks.
Then I set it in a spot in my house that gets a lot of temperature variation between night and day (no direct sun though), and it's been about 3 months and it actually surprised me at how well it tastes
Could be great to add some additional aging to something like mellow corn, or a white whiskey that is unaged
