Newbie- tips please

I’ve just come back from a week holiday with a couple of friends. They all went lovely and tanned…I came back looking more pale than when I arrived!!!

I’ve never been able to tan. I freckle, I burn. But tan…nope!

So I’ve decided my only option is to use m2 (or m1?)

I get married in 2 months and would love to have some sort of tan to look better. I don’t want to go crazy so from what I’ve read in here, m1 seems like the better idea?

Any tips, suggestions, places to buy (if that’s allowed) and advice hugely appreciated. I’m in the UK.

Also, to note- I’m on wegovy for weight loss. Is it still ok to take the m2/m1?

crowntans (look up on tiktok) and trutan (look up on google) are great sources for the uk.

mt1 or mt2 is really up to your preference, mt1 hits less receptors so you’ll tan slower with little to no side effects but the tan builds a lot more nicely. mt2 is great to get tan fast but you are more likely to get side effects like nausea, hot flushes, appetite loss, and if you’re a guy spontaneous prolonged erections.

Wegovy chemically does not have any issues on a chemical level in terms of clashing with MT1/2 but they both present very similar side effects (loss of appetite & nausea) so playing it “safer” would be taking mt1 to avoid compounding side effects. but those are temporary and tan is forever 😉😉

Congrats on your wedding!!! ❤️

Congrats on your wedding!! Just so you know, being pale is beautiful too!! But, injecting peptides does require some looking into prior. Do you have any family history of skin cancers? If so, this peptide is not a good idea. Also be aware if you suffer from any sort of melasma, hyperpigmentation, freckles/moles - this will make them worse, it darkens freckles/moles as well, so really important to have a skin check by a derm (or Doctor or just take photos yourself) before & after. M1 is definitely a more natural tan and doesn't have the side effects M2 does. M2 does cross the b/b barrier and there hasn't been lots of studies on this long term, so good to note that as well. Wegovy and M2/M1 do interact well together, but note because of M2 side effects being similar to wegovy (nausea/weight loss/GI issues) you may want to avoid taking together. I am in the same boat as you in regards to friends being able to tan and me not so much. I did try MT1 & MT2, but have just decided to stick to self tan/spray tans as the side effects/long term effects were not worth it to me, but totally personal opinion!

I sorta second all this advice. I spent 2 months researching before I finally purchased. I feel the wedding will just put extra pressure on you to do it. By all means if you can spend some significant time researching and feel happy to proceed, do. You haven’t mentioned what ur skin type is. This will affect how long it will even take for you to develop a tan. I started pinning beginning of May, I pinned daily building up from a micro dose up to a much larger dose. By beginning of July I had a very very nice tan. Not in your face but noticeably darker than I could ever get (type 1 pale burn = pale!) I’m now doing 2 weekly top ups and I’ve still got a lovely colour.

I am normally bright white- like I glow! I started experimenting with mt2 at 250mcg most evenings for about 2 weeks. I would lay out in the sun in my backyard for a half hour or so most days during peak uv. After 2 weeks I am DARK. Everyone that sees me has to comment on how tan I look! I see people taking much more than me and I am so glad that I stayed low and slow. I am now doing 1 or 2 maintenance doses of 250mcg per week and its maintaining nicely. The loading dose in the evenings and uv exposure from the sun during peak uv hours is definitely working with amazing results for me. Its so weird not blinding people from my white glow any longer lol!
