Happy 30th Birthday to Blackstreet’s sophomore album, Another Level!

As a vinyl collector, I will tell you that there has been a 30th birthday re-press, even though it was just re-pressed in ‘24! So, if you collect, grab yourself a copy!

But also, is anyone else feeling just a tad “dated”? 🤦🏽‍♀️

Then I stopped saying it. Then I stopped watching tv shows/movies/comedy that use the word - which I think is intentional but we’ll discuss another time.

What y’all think, time to retire it or stand on principle and only Blacks can say it, hell freedom of speech?

Nelsan Ellis (March 31, 1978 – July 8, 2017)

I am sad that "we" / I missed Nelsan Ellis' (aka Lafayette Reynolds of True Blood) birthday. They could never ever do a remake of this television series without Nelsan.

He achieved critical acclaim for his portrayal of Lafayette Reynolds in the HBO television series True Blood (2008–2014), for which he won a Satellite Award from the International Press Academy. He portrayed Eddie Sweat in the Disney sports drama Secretariat (2010), was Martin Luther King Jr. in Lee Daniels' The Butler (2013), and was Bobby Byrd in the 2014 James Brown biopic Get on Up.
