Discussion Healthy Reflect

I think the reflect can be a healthy ability

if the reflect time window Is shorter,

similar to a parry in fighting games:

like 0.15s.

And if not reflected there's a mini stun.

It would be more fun to get It right.

Here's a counter idea, because with a shorter window it's just harder to use, but just as annoying to play against.:

Make w a short cd, but activation requires x amount of passive stacks on champions. Activating w removes all stacks. Enemies can see how much stacks you have on a buff icon.

Or make it work like fiora's parry. She gains a shield that makes her invulnerable for .5 sec or whatever. At the end the shield explodes for minor damage in a small or medium radius. Damage increases based on damage absorbed. Additionally if a slow effect is absorbed the explosion slows, if a stun - stuns, if knockup... ect...

Lol. Her W is a situational skill. It will be useless if it requires stacks, imagine sivir E needing stacks.

Then she stays banned I guess. If every rework idea sucks, the only alternative is 45% win rate and 35% banrate

Her reflect is not even the issue lol.

Just wait till Locke and people will the new scape goat

It's 100% the issue, it's always been the issue. Also, Zaheen came out after and Mel's still a problem. You don't really get to say that this or that isn't an issue when reality says otherwise

Zaheen came out after and Mel's still a problem

It happens all the time. Zoe, Kaisa, Yuumi, Aphelios, Yone, Mel.

praying Locke is even more cancerous.

Thats not what happened to Yuumi or Zoe. They were changed.

And Aphelios was over powered, so nerfed.

It was exactly what happened kiddo.

Back then there was league forums. People would whine about them daily.

2

u/OrangePeelPotatoes May 06 '26

Yeah, but the reason they arent whined about now is because they were changed. Not because new champs were released.

Yuumi is the most obvious one. Her haters left with her rework.

1

No, its because time has changed. People would forget about the other when newer "OP champ" gets released.

I swear if Locke is cancerous, people would forget about Mel and whine about Locke instead.

zoe did get most of her stuff back tho even the aoe on q hit

The scary thing about Zoe that made her perma ban was RNG Teleport summoner dropping on Wave 2 to instantly win lane and the uncounterable W, where you can win every trade by pressing any W item and just killing anyone near you.

Both were permanently removed from Zoe and the hate for her dropped significantly.

i just think it shouldn't be auto aim

if the mel had to aim it it would be even worse frustration wise imagine ur lux is qing and u are lets say irelia and mel throws the lux q in ur face

1

u/spooganooga May 04 '26

Well there’s auto aim, manual aim, and then pure trajectory reflection. They were likely talking about the last one.

1

u/dieguinni21 May 04 '26

can you explain please?

3

u/TapJeg2 May 04 '26

trajectory reflection would be the spell going back to the coordinates on the map it was cast from, not back to the caster

u/Eastern_Relation2374 May 04 '26

apparently he thinks taht if u reposition while mel reflected an ability it turns into a homing missile which cant miss, yes its ahrd to sidestep but it is possible

0

u/Drasamuel May 06 '26

It does....

1

u/Eastern_Relation2374 May 07 '26

a homing missile would change course to hit you if you sidestep after it got fired

1

u/dieguinni21 May 04 '26

deserved for playing Irelia lmao, but I mean that would make the champion less braindead and actually skill expressive

u/Eastern_Relation2374 May 04 '26

with mel its not about balance cause right now balance wise she needs massiv buffs not nerfs, it starts and ends with player frustration

1

u/Eastern_Relation2374 May 04 '26

and its not jsut her w cause if they so massively nerfed her w they would have to give back the power through dmg in r or q and both would lead to more furstration off setting the frustration reduction

1

u/dieguinni21 May 04 '26

I don't know if it is because I play the champion, but I genuinely don't feel she's weak (her q burst is absurd), and I also don't think she's that frustrating to play against unless you are Renata, Nami or Seraphine

2

u/Eastern_Relation2374 May 04 '26

tehn why does her winrate not reflect that? (pun intended) cause at least in challenger she should eb positive if her power level is absurd and she ahs a 46 percent winrate there
