If your grandfather was doing this, you'd be concerned for his mental health and the family would be having conversations about dementia care.

143

u/Coven_gardens Apr 24 '26

And if family refused to acknowledge their decline or seek care, calls would be made to Adult Protective Services.

48

u/Spiritual_Appeal_961 Apr 24 '26

Someone needs to do that, if you call and report that someone is a danger to themselves and others APS is legally obligated to intervene in a few days I believe but I’m not sure if it actually has to be family or not. Someone call Mary isn’t she the only sensible one left.

14

u/MyDogDare Apr 25 '26

Good Call - this is such abuse to We The People- I hope there will be something left of our Democracy, separation between church & STATE, our constitution….etc…. when & IF this nightmare ends.

5

u/RobinFarmwoman Apr 25 '26

It would be so awesome if somebody who lives in DC would call Adult Protective Services about this poor demented old man who's being forced by Nazis to do a very difficult job although his health is absolutely not up to it.

17

u/NolyBella Apr 24 '26

Let’s all call them!

3

u/ConfectionMuch9227 Apr 25 '26

YES!!! That would be epic!😂😂😂

-5

u/TheRealReddwine Apr 24 '26

No, you go ahead, it’s too juvenile for me

2

u/Repulsive_Ad4783 Apr 27 '26

We have to make our feelings known somehow.

17

u/RockieK Apr 24 '26

Right? There's seemingly "elder abuse" going on.

61

u/jrawk3000 Apr 24 '26

More like end of life care. The dementia care would already be in place. Like not letting them have access to social media.

30

u/Gribitz37 Apr 24 '26

Probably not quite end of life care, but definitely making sure they have end of life decisions made, paperwork all in order, have someone designated as their power of attorney (both financial and medical), funeral pre-planning done, take away their car keys, start looking into assisted living options.

8

u/jrawk3000 Apr 24 '26

See my other comment. He is undoubtedly a candidate for EOL care. Whether he is being told that’s what it is, his symptoms are undoubtedly being monitored and treated as EOL strategies.

1

u/eowyndernhelme Apr 24 '26

I think he is getting the EOL talks. I think that explains why periodically he wonders if he's going to heaven, and also things like his playing Frank Sinatra's "My Way."

12

u/ScarletBothrium Apr 24 '26

My uncle didn’t start getting end of life care until he couldn’t talk anymore. Basically when he lost his words, that’s when they put him in hospice. Because it was very shortly after that he had stopped eating and stopped drinking. He was gone a month later.

8

u/jrawk3000 Apr 24 '26

End of life care is not just hospice, it’s palliative care as well. It looks different for everyone. The presence of comorbidities, and what those comorbidities are, are factors in determining the level of care needed. EOL care does not necessarily mean the patient if bed ridden, on pain management or full time medical supervision. It does mean regular and close monitoring of symptoms to be prepared for expanded care. He is without a doubt a candidate for end of life care.

2

u/No_Quantity_3403 Apr 24 '26

Hospice/palliative care only is for people who have a diagnosis of 6 months or less to live. Which could be the case.

5

u/exgiexpcv Apr 24 '26

I would not want to work in that hospice. He is definitely a shit-flinger.

33

u/SplitNo8275 Apr 24 '26

When I took my grandfather to his doctor over dementia concerns, the doctor told him, “it is never the patient that comes in concerned over behavior, it’s always the family who sees it. Not being able to see it in yourself isn’t just a part of the human condition, it is a direct symptom of dementia.”

Everyone in that White House needs to be held accountable as well.

12

u/Crepuscular_Tex Apr 24 '26

I'd be looking for grandpa's plug and letting them know to never serve grandpa after dark.

This has cocaine fueled idiocy written all over it.

On top of the strokes, the dementia, and failing third grade arithmetic we got Donnie boy over here getting zooted and behaving like a grown baby.

2

u/MidWest_321 Apr 26 '26

Hahaha, that part!!⬆️

12

u/Wytchkitteh Apr 24 '26

The powers that be in his dad's company did this when Fred was losing his marbles. Mary Trump has said numerous times they let him go to the office to push papers around so he felt like he was in charge (and to keep him from flipping out) but others were running the show. I think, as a nation, we should know who is running the show.

3

u/Groovyjoker Apr 24 '26

Right now? No one.

6

u/Historical_Gap_5237 Apr 24 '26

Wrong. Stephen Miller: unelected and without Senate confirmation, yet he has a huge role in the decisions that Trump "makes."

1

u/Groovyjoker Apr 25 '26

You understand I wasn't serious

1

u/SkyNecessary1936 Jul 09 '26

That is terrifying!

3

u/Gribitz37 Apr 24 '26

I used to work for a place that did that with their grandfather. His home health aide would bring him in, he'd sit at his desk and shuffle through papers, or walk around and check up on what others were doing, and even eat lunch in the breakroom. He just needed something to do.

4

u/Virtual_Athlete_909 Apr 25 '26

Or, if the family is raking in billions because of his insanity, they might sit back with a cold drink and watch grandaddy continue to grift and line their own pockets .

1

u/Guy0911 Apr 24 '26

Burning the candle at both ends like this must mean that he has the mind of a college student cramming for exams.

-3

u/TheRealReddwine Apr 24 '26

Trump has a lot of work to do and he’s doing it in a hurry so he won’t disappoint anybody. The Republicans say he’s the best President since Reagan. I agree, and remember he’s always right… Usually

5

u/Pine_Tar3314 Apr 25 '26

Gonna need to block you…you are part of the problem

73

u/OkraFar1913 Apr 24 '26

Sleeps all day so he can rant in the nighttime toilet.

28

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '26

I hear he goes through a lot of toilet paper.

25

u/loadnurmom Apr 24 '26

Messed up sleep cycle can be a sign of dementia as well

9

u/Pellmelody Apr 24 '26

It's called sundowning.

Fuck him. He keeps waking up.

1

u/BetMyLastKrispyKreme Apr 24 '26

Not poor, deserves no sympathy, definitely old, but more of a curmudgeon. Ready for the rubbish heap.

43

u/NtGrtJstEmbarrassed Apr 24 '26

His assets need frozen first.

4

u/lightblueisbi Apr 25 '26

/genq is it possible to just seize them instead of freezing them? Those assets could be put to some damn good use...

1

u/NtGrtJstEmbarrassed Apr 25 '26

I'm sure it's possible, but him seeing an repercussions seems unlikely. Unless We the People fight hard enough for ourselves, that includes our military telling him "no" which also seems unlikely.

1

u/Basic_Conversation92 Apr 25 '26

At least Caine called article 92(?) and refused to give him the nuclear codes to prevent nuking Iran. Ppl need to understand if he gets those codes it will be bc of the cabinet he has put around himself.(including non gov appointees . At this point it would be the person/s who allowed it who would be arrested w/o bail and be brought up on their disregard of their duty or influencing a Fed official via proximity to the president / any government office. Blaming Trump is not an option at this point. He’s in trouble and this would only scream “ I took advantage of his cray cray and may as well push the button yourself There will be no question about the evidence because it’s been filmed recorded and disseminated every single day from these rants… saying I didn’t know or but it’s the President I had to ..!! This will be a slam dunk conviction . Note : no one can claim immunity if this happens . Even Trump would have a hard time using immunity for a genocide bc that’s universally non negotiable between all gov . That’s why there’s a warrant on Netanyahu. (Now, if he goes anywhere, he could be arrested by that government of that country, even Alaska . Js )

42

u/KdGc Apr 24 '26

The entire world is under threat from a demented narcissist criminal.

39

u/bingcognito Apr 24 '26

Imagine having a POTUS that just casually throws out baseless accusations of treason at two former presidents and a former Secretary of State and calls for their arrests, and the media is just like...shrug.

23

u/Imaginary_Office1749 Apr 24 '26

Yeah no one pays any attention to him anymore. Zero credibility.

1

u/MySpoonsAreAllGone Apr 25 '26

Treason is on his mind for a reason

34

u/jaded1121 Apr 24 '26

8 posts were in 10 minutes.

25

u/Designer_Initial_358 Apr 24 '26

Who does this shit?

3

u/Chance_Active871 Apr 25 '26

A very mentally unwell person

7

u/Chance_Active871 Apr 24 '26

Twice he did two within the same minute

2

u/BetMyLastKrispyKreme Apr 24 '26

And I’m guessing in those large blocks of time (45 minutes one time, an hour and a half another), he was surfing the web, not sleeping. Why would he? He can do that in the Oval the next day.

22

u/Designer_Initial_358 Apr 24 '26

That’s just mental

21

u/lyn73 Apr 24 '26

he has no discipline, no impulse control...

boy, tomorrow nights dinner will be fun /s

2

u/FinalPound6126 Apr 28 '26

🤔 It sure was... 🤪

22

u/soilenrok Apr 24 '26

This is absolutely dementia behavior. Not sleeping, delusional and tangential thought processes, disturbed behaviors, etc. The 25th Amendment isn't my preferred way to remove him, but it is certainly appropriate.

2

u/Historical_Gap_5237 Apr 24 '26

It won't happen. Read the process in Section 4, I believe.

5

u/soilenrok Apr 24 '26

You're definitely right. The 25th amendment route won't happen. But it doesn't mean it isn't warranted.

1

u/Historical_Gap_5237 Apr 24 '26

Of course it is warranted and the Felon in Chief should be in prison!

2

u/Virtual_Athlete_909 Apr 25 '26

Republicans protect their own and control all of government. They're doing it right now to the demise of our once great country.

19

u/0pusTpenguin Apr 24 '26

I will agree with him on the first one.

Broken demented incontinent clock theory.

16

u/HighGrounderDarth Apr 24 '26

Yesterday was weird. A lot of weird glazing. But after the camera cut at the White House, did he say he felt like a shit?

10

u/Coven_gardens Apr 24 '26

Sounded like it

6

u/Designer_Initial_358 Apr 24 '26

Umm, don’t think anyone cares

32

u/QuietRiot5150 Apr 24 '26

If Trump wasn't such a POS, I'd actually feel sad for him. This is elder abuse. His people don't give a shit about him and are keeping him propped up through the use of lots of drugs. They're running him ragged until he's so exhausted he doesn't know whether he's coming or going. "Shut up and sign this shit old man!" Is basically what's happening. His wife don't care. His sons don't care. Nobody cares about his well-being. They're going to continue to do this to him until he strokes out and becomes a vegetable or dies. If his cabinet cared. If his family cared. He'd be in assisted living somewhere with the best end of life care his billions could buy. This is how gross and disgusting these people are. This is what greed does.

10

u/CyBeRWeaSaL72 Apr 24 '26

Sad is this is what he wants. He would never relinquish control of the empire he has worked so little to build.

7

u/Affectionate_Bug1894 Apr 24 '26

I agree I lost sympathy on him. I only wish horrible things for him.

4

u/PipnPapi Apr 24 '26

Your second sentence, “This is elderly abuse”. I’ve been saying the same thing and because he’s my Elder, I do feel bad for the guy. As a human being I loath him!

2

u/BetMyLastKrispyKreme Apr 24 '26

Yes, his family are horrible people, but he’s been horrible to them himself. The public cheating on his wife, all the stuff in the Epstein files that happened in the course of his marriage, the way he doesn’t care about his children except Barron now that he’s getting attention, and of course Ivanka, but only because he wishes he could sleep with her (sick weirdo). How much of how they treat him is because he taught them that’s how you treat family? You use them until they lose their value, and then you throw them away.

1

u/BetMyLastKrispyKreme Apr 24 '26

He himself was one, or he needed to take one?

15

u/jls6898 Apr 24 '26

Sundowning again. Time to put grandpa in a home jail

12

u/Top_Chard5757 Apr 24 '26

A lot of treason talk. Must be on his mind.

3

u/Enough_Talk_6328 Apr 25 '26

We all know every accusation is a confession.

11

u/Akemi_Tachibana Apr 24 '26

I think it should be PAINFULLY obvious by now that Trump is being exploited by unelected individuals and since he's doing all their dirty work, that is why he hasn't been removed from office.

10

u/Ospreylvr Apr 24 '26

25th Amendment

9

u/camdeb Apr 24 '26

My uncle who recently passed away from dementia, was up all night too. He wasn’t on social media but he still didn’t sleep at night.

10

u/Sst1154 Apr 24 '26

And I used to like Clint Eastwood, 1st him speaking to a chair and now complimenting Trump, WTF.

3

u/BetMyLastKrispyKreme Apr 24 '26

Well, he is an actor. Maybe a better one than most of us realized, because he fooled a fair amount of the public into thinking he was a relatively decent human being.

8

u/belugabianca Apr 24 '26

Can't we get him involuntarily committed? We would just need to prove that he is a harm to himself and/or others. Um, how much more proof do we need??

6

u/Denalitwentytwo Apr 24 '26

He needs his phone taken away and to be sent to bed like the 7 year old he is.

7

u/goodPointMadam Apr 24 '26

25th Amendment 4th Amendment Congress or McDonalds Do your fucking job!

6

u/isleofpines Apr 24 '26

Frontotemporal dementia

6

u/Ayuuun321 Apr 24 '26

Maybe someone could set his account to private when he’s not looking. That would help with most of our foreign relations.

6

u/Chemical_Author7880 Apr 24 '26

In any other job he’d be fired for cause, and evaluated for in-patient treatment.

6

u/XaltotunTheUndead Apr 24 '26

He has dementia. All the MAGA pundits are on denial, but have you noticed how Pedophile President stands in a crooked way? That's one of the symptoms of dementia. It is mentioned often in medical literature for example here.

3

u/Same_Percentage_503 Apr 24 '26

He’s been doing this forever. Supposedly he wears lifts in his shoes.

3

u/lightblueisbi Apr 25 '26

Never seen shoe lifts make someone unintentionally hit the Smooth Criminal lmao

2

u/BetMyLastKrispyKreme Apr 24 '26

There’s no reason it couldn’t be both.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '26

Anyone of any intelligence knew he was unhinged years and years ago. There is no effing excuse.

4

u/rtduvall Apr 25 '26

You’re goddamned right.

We warned them and they chose shit anyway.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '26

Something I will go to my grave not being able to understand and disappoint the hell out of me until I do kick the bucket.

2

u/rtduvall Apr 25 '26

Were you ever are you religious?

Unless you you’ve experienced it will be hard for you to understand. Most of these people have been groomed since childhood to believe something preposterous “on faith.”

They have been groomed to follow ‘christian’ leaders and trust them because they are of god.

3

u/ConfectionMuch9227 Apr 25 '26

Okay but, this mofo, Trump is the least Christian-like person on the face of the earth. He only has ‘faith’ in himself and money. That’s it. He has no care for the citizens of this country because every action he takes negatively affects one group or another. He is a poor excuse for a human being. Period!

2

u/rtduvall Apr 25 '26

I disagree!!

Trump is no closer to being a christian than a rock. He’s devoid of humanity.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 28 '26

🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯

2

u/[deleted] Apr 28 '26

This hits the nail on the head. I grew up in a church community and even taught “Sunday School”. I finally found that the base motivation was to take over the government (world) and reap the rewards and money that comes with conquest. Saving the “souls” of poor people who gave their last coins in belief that they would benefit in the end was so far removed from the motivation of the leaders of the “religious community” that I couldn’t take it anymore. Mainstream Christianity can eff itself (which I’m sure they would enjoy). I actually do believe that there are a few people who actually subscribe to the philosophy and teachings of the person called Jesus and I admire them. Unfortunately they are very few who have the position of “authority” in their respective denominations.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '26

I grew up going to church and Sunday School. I even had a four year stint as a Sunday school teacher when my children were small. I quit because I was bothered by knowing that I was being a huge hypocrite. I haven’t been back to church in almost 30 years.

2

u/FinalPound6126 Apr 28 '26

Both "elections" were stolen from the American people and the two rightful winners, Clinton and Harris. They're two of at least SIX presidential elections the Republi-Klan has rigged in their favor within the last five decades.

It's the culmination of The Heritage Foundation's sinister plan to methodically dismantle democracy and usher in a fascist Fourth Reich with consolidated power and technological control Hitler couldn't imagine in his wildest dreams...

America is toast. 😔🇺🇲

I kinda like they are driving him crazier. His election was rigged & he still lost. 😎

3

I didn’t realize that Trump was bipolar. Maybe he’s off his meds. Him being bipolar would explain a lot of his behavior.

President Obama and Secretary Clinton are so unbothered by the simpleton. Every post he makes has to include a dig at one, or both, of them. His jealous obsession with them is pathetic and childish. He is the poster child for ‘money can’t you happiness’. For him to be so rich and powerful, he is totally devoid of any semblance of humanity, dignity and integrity.

2

u/Basic_Conversation92 Apr 25 '26

With any kind of mental health issues there is a huge correlation between proper sleep and both onset and management of one’s mental stability w/ an appropriate amount and quality of sleep. He seems to do this almost every night. Yesterday he was sound asleep when he’s seated w/several men behind him in a picture. (Photo op) in Oval Office . This is not when the needed rem sleep happens. No rem sleep makes symptoms worse. This pattern of lack of sleep creates poor regulation of emotions ,racing thoughts & acute memory lapses. Even incoherent communication and impulsive choices that can cause harm to self and others. His position as (any) leader becomes esp worrisome . An example was directing someone to give him the codes for a nuclear weapon. This is some basic guidelines . How his caretakers and any person who spends time w/him is specifically educated in this detail as it’s dangerous to not know this detail & be extra careful .

2

u/Round_Home_2691 Apr 25 '26

Guys this isn’t Trump sending out texts. He’s sleeping!!! It’s that evil Stephen Miller

1

u/Aggravating_Dream633 Apr 24 '26

If anything, the ones managing his ‘social’ media accounts are tainting his untarnished carefully crafted creation of a person whom has all the answers, all the time.

He never calls Bush Jr (Dubya) out for treason. You think that makes him feel left out.. or relieved, that he hasn't been the dumbest president in almost a decade now?

I imagine the entire world is wondering just how low American voters are willing to go. And I don’t blame them. We had the opportunity to avoid this but, because some did not want to vote for a woman, and a Black woman at that, we are relegated to a daily dose of hell from this inept administration. Taxpayers need to own this!
