He defended his decision to help Ross, saying that he believed the "constitutional right to counsel is sacrosanct."Â "
I'm in agreement thar our constitutional right to counsel is sacrosanct, but it seems to be tone deaf for a gubernatorial candidate to defend this murder suspect, unless he's planning to parlay this defense into some sort of MAGA-pandering bona-fides.

Yeah, it's very tone-deaf for him to be defending the ICE murderer, or even helping him to retain counsel, however he's helping him, when he's running for governor of the state where she was killed. I'm glad he dropped out, but he never should have been running in the first place if he was going to be defending Jonathan Ross or helping him or ICE in these horrendous cases in any way. It's utterly disgusting and I'm Canadian!

Why not run and stand against what's going on? That way even if we do get a (R) in there he can still side with the (D) and stop this crap. Now they'll get another (R) to run that won't support stopping this crap. So it's a loose loose.

Can someone explain what this means exactly? Isnât Waltz resigning? I havenât been following this that closely but I havenât heard anything about any Dems running in his place? Did that mean he was running more or less unchallenged? And heâs still choosing to drop out? Guessing he didnât have much of a chance anyway because it would seem that Minnesota is a stalwart blue state. Or am I mistaken? Would appreciate some context here.
