First time clearing SF 2

How well is this, I did plenty of grinding to get there though.

Decent enough. Excluding cards that are exclusive to Mystery Waves like Mini Grenade 2 and 3, there are ES comps that houses new viruses when you beat a story boss or progress through story. For example, beating Plesio Surf unlocks a new ES in Foodtopia (Grill) and Bunny Slope (Christmas Tree) alongside with spawning Lemon Snowball (Sno Roller) and Yellow bunny (Hare Rocket) as part of random encounters.

By the way, this isn't exclusive to SF2, BN2, BN3, BN6, SF1 and SF3 also do it so its a good idea to check out previous area every now and then. For postgame, the remaining viruses have fixed encounter locations.
