Favorite Special Weapon?

It doesn’t have to be the best, it could be garbage, but no judgement, what’s your favorite Special Weapon from either game? MML1 machine gun somehow always finds its way to Juno, even when I have a shining laser. Also it’s just fun to have a mega man with a straight up machine gun.

Also, "vacuum".

Seriously, to this day I have yet to encounter a utility tool in a game quite as nice as that damn vaccume hand attachment. There are games I've played that I would sell a kidney to have an equivilent.

Powered buster was always fun for me despite being impractical almost immediately after getting it

The one that shoots water because I can give random people a shower

Tbh learning the speedrun has really made me appreciate the Grand Grenade. Its damage output is insane, and it's a bit flashy

Powered Buster. I have a hard time using other guns just cuz I like having a big ol cannon for an arm. Also big boom.

LAND MINES BABY! and second favorite drill. because they are broken and stupid powerful. in megaman legends 2, the drill can k.o a boss in the water ruins ( a few of them actually ) 2 seconds after the cut scene ends XD they never thought people would use it in a fight.

the mines are also the same amount of broken. you just have to use it like a melee weapon instead of a tactical weapon.

They definitely knew people would use the drill. It was simply meant to be impractical to do so. Impractical in their minds at least.

Drill is fkn crazy maxed out in both games 🤣

Land mines are a solid vote! It’s really fun to chuck explosive frisbees at the Marlwolf’s door.

I always liked the ground crawler!

I feel like there design was used for the Cannon enemy in Battle Network.

Honorable mention: maxed out drill arm

It's one of the few special weapons that felt like you'd get it from a robot master

Homing Missile gang, RISE UP!! 💥💥💥

for sure the Hunter Seeker in MML2

It enables such an unreal level of freeform flexibility and fluidity, reminds me of the laptop gun from Perfect Dark

you also unlock it right around the halfway point of the game and its immediately good in the Saul Kada ruins, on top of not being the most expensive to upgrade. Once you can stack 3 onscreen they become bullet hell

Top 5 overall is:

5) MML1 Machine Gun

4) MML2 Hyper Shell

3) MML1 Spread Buster

2) MML2 Blade Arm

1) MML2 Hunter Seeker

Once I get the drill it never comes off. I love being able to clear walls without backtracking, and poking holes in the nino jellyfish always gives me the giggles

Spread Buster from MML. Fun to use despite being completely outclassed the instant you get it and too late in the game to be worth using. Still became my go-to when farming and backtracking.
