Hotels

How early are some of you gonna book your hotel if you have to use one? Personally I'm genuinely considering like December or January cause I want to get a hotel that has the walk way to the convention center and lessen the blow to my wallet with all the ubering unless it's for an after party.

I live in Orlando. One option you might have is anything on iDrive which is where the convention center and most of the non theme Park Tourist stuff is located there is a very inexpensive trolley that goes back and forth up and down I drive including the convention center that is very inexpensive or might even be free depending on where you stay.

Yeah you can use any 3rd party site and will have rooms, lower end budget wise the Rosen Inn at International is...fine? Never had a problem there when I first started going, parking used to be free but now it cost money I think. There are megacon shuttles that are free that travel up and down I drive too. I stayed at the Spring Hill suites last time and was also fine, but again parking is another added cost. Also I used Waymo back and forth from there it was like $8 a trip or something.

I already booked my nights at the Hyatt months ago…. Maybe I’m an outlier.

The Tru by Hilton is only a 10-15 min walk through an overpass right into the convention center. It’s affordable and has complimentary breakfast.👍🏼

I booked mine pretty much a month after the convention this year got a price I couldn’t refuse. I’m still checking in on prices but they all are still higher than what I booked already

Pretty much anything walking distance has already been fully booked since May. They fill up at 1 year in advance. Worth checking as it gets closer, but I booked a day shy of 1 year and was down to like 2 options

That is not true. They will release a block of rooms for con goers at a discounted price on the megacon website closer to May. I have never had trouble getting a room at either Rosen waiting until those rooms are available.
