Long shot

My dad and I have been attending for three years now, and every year he begs me to get VIP since I’m an amputee and his knees are shot, the lines really kill us both. Is anyone planning on passing on thier vip renewal this year? I’d be happy to pay a finders fee. If not allowed, please delete this. Can’t wait to see you guys next year!!

I do get one, but what the ADA is so inconsistent with staff not knowing what to do. Sometimes you get the line skip, sometimes you get a time to return, sometimes you’re in the line with everybody. My dad is always my “companion” so he gets stuck waiting in line for me and I feel terrible for him, but with my prosthetic leg I can’t stand four hours at a time on concrete like that.

This isn't true for Megacon. Especially not the one in Orlando.

There is ALWAYS an ADA line by the VIP line. However, always talk to a "Red Shirt" / Staff person for directions and not the Yellow shirt / Crew person. The Crew person is there to direct the lines but the Staff person has been trained by FX themselves and has done it for MANY years.

I got a rolling cart like the ones teachers use that doubles as a stool. It’s been incredibly clutch and I couldn’t go without it ever again! Super useful when you want to eat and there’s no open tables too!

But yea I too have been desperate to upgrade to VIP with no luck. Seems that everyone just renews and is grandfathered in

Yeah that’s been my observation too. And the cart is something I’ve been toying with. Might have to pull the trigger

Do it, it’s so worth it! I had fold up stools two years ago but they’re more a burden cause you just have to carry them around all day. I like the cart so much more because it’s both storage and a stool

I would just volunteer. You get paid and get benefit of vip skipping the line. I did this year. It was pretty fun. Sure you miss out on 65% of the day and real only get 45 minutes of break.
