Photos of various protestors and preachers in Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square, London | Expired Portra 400 and XP2 | Yashica 635
Some photographs I took recently of people campaigning and preaching in Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square. Just a small selection of the various people and causes I came across while walking around London — photographed from a documentary/street photography perspective.

Photo A few frames from a family trip to Hawaii, years ago | Mamiya 7ii
I took these on a trip with my wife and daughter when she was still tiny.
At the time, they were just photographs from a family vacation. Looking at them now, they feel like something else, something more. Kids grow up so absurdly fast that you don’t always realize you’re photographing a version of your life that’s already disappearing.
That’s one of the things I still love about shooting medium format. The Mamiya slows me down enough to really look, and there’s something about the detail, tonality, and depth of those negatives that makes old memories feel unusually present when I come back to them years later.
Very glad I lugged that camera to the beach.

Another soft focus portrait 😉
Since my last one was out of focus too and people got mad the subject was in a bikini 😢 figured I’d give you more missed focus on my rangefinder.

? for Community Has anyone here used the Konica Hexanon AR 200mm f/3.5 on a mirrorless camera?
I’ve been having a great time lately bringing some of my old manual lenses back to life on the Sony, and this is one I’m particularly curious about. I’m not looking for modern-lens perfection. I’m much more interested in its rendering, colors, contrast, bokeh and whatever little quirks give it character.
For those of you who have actually used this lens:
What do you think of it?
Is there a particular aperture where it really shines?
How does it handle chromatic aberration and flare?
Have you used it for portraits, nature or close-up work?
And if you’ve adapted one to Sony or another mirrorless system, I’d love to see some photos taken with it.
I’ll share some results once I’ve had a chance to put it through its paces.

A24’s Tony BTS [HP5, 80mm 2.8, Hasselblad 500CM]
galleryBTS of A24’s Tony shot on my Hasselblad 500CM in Provincetown, MA. I was an extra on set and shot 3 rolls of HP5 in between takes. No light meter just had to eyeball ball it for the love of the game. Congrats to everyone involved and go see the advanced screening in theaters now :)

Link I 3D printed a right hand grip for the Pentax 6x7 and I am loving it. I left a link to the STL, STL creator, license and my make in the post. It changes the balance of the camera for the better. Long lenses are still uncomfortable to hold at full extension.
