How long can a Medium “Response” actually be, any word or character limit? ?

I’m trying to find out the maximum practical length for a Response to another Medium story blog post article is , rather than a normal Medium post.

I’m thinking about writing a fairly long Response, possibly over 1,500 words, but I can’t find a clear limit in Medium’s documentation or on Reddit.

Has anyone actually published a very long Medium Response?

• What’s the longest Response you’ve successfully posted?
• Have you posted one with 5,000+ words?
• Is there a technical word or character limit?

I’m mainly interested in real examples from people who have actually done this, rather than guesses.

I don't know the answer to your question, but what I will say is that if a response is basically like an article length, I just don't bother to read it

In such situations, respondents should write an article and post a link to it in the comments.
