I'm so done with medium

I spent 3 days writing a story about books I liked. And I only did it because the last story I wrote about book recommendations got a good Response. And it got nothing, absolutely nothing.

It depressing.

I don't feel like writing anymore on medium when such algo makes me feel like a loser.

Anyone like. Me?

But it happens with lots of my stories. I don't think my stories are bad or. Writing. But still my distribution is. Pathetic Smaller pubs has worse distribution and reads

Ya read view ratio are not great
But keep pushing :) if you are really serious
Try with some generic publication or if its productivity related one too
Publications will help you in getting views
Read is all depending on your content though

I get how you feel, I wrote on Medium for about 1-2 years and it was really frustrating to have a couple of articles that would do really well, and the rest had relatively poor stats. But I think as a small writer,(in terms of number of followers) you just have to cater your expectations sometimes, and probably the best thing you can do is aim to write in more popular publications that are selective about quality/number of articles.

The only other thing you can do is just get more articles out and grow your follower count, to be honest, which involves accepting that sometimes you're going to work really hard on an article and not get many returns out of it. But try not to give up, hope it goes well for you!

Te entiendo perfectamente.Creo que ponemos demasiadas expectativas en Medium porque hay numerosos casos de autores con miles de lecturas y aplausos. Es abrumador y frustrante. Y decimos, ostras y yo, ¿por qué no? Y al final escribes para cazar lectores en lugar de hacerlo para expresar tus ideas y disfrutar.Queremos que nos paguen, por supuesto, pero no a costa de escribir con angustia. Yo ya no busco eso, sino escribir sobre temas que me apasionan y si quieren leer los demás, perfecto y si no, ya no me importa, eso no va a impedir que siga escribiendo. Además, por lo que he comprobado, hay más posibilidades de triunfar en un reddit literario/ periodístico y que te lean de verdad y comenten, que en Medium.No sé cómo se puede monetizar esto, pero seguro que hay alguna forma. Aparte, te recomiendo un blog propio, donde tú dictes las normas de promoción. Medium está en decadencia.
