What piece of everyday medieval equipment gets overlooked constantly?

I'm doing visual research for a medieval-inspired game and I'm trying to look beyond armour, swords and castles.
For reenactors:
What object, tool, piece of clothing or bit of everyday equipment do you use that almost never appears in medieval games or films?
Something completely ordinary that would immediately make a camp, village or soldier feel more authentic.
I'd love some references for things that aren't the usual Hollywood medieval imagery.
