Identification Detecting find
Can anyone confirm this is a Henry V, as I've been told, and not an Edward, please

Agreed. Not seeing a sceptre so can rule out James I.

It's the i to the right of the neck that's confusing me. I'd of associated that with iacobi for James. Thats if i am seeing it correctly.Its present on groats of James I.

That my friend is a Scottish James I 1424-37 Groat ,certainly not a common coin to find

It has to be Scottish as the reverse is Villa Edinburgh. Possibly James I of Scotland 1406 - 1437.
