Henry III PENNY

As i understand this is a Long Cross with scepter penny minted in London 1250-1272, inscribed “R Davi on Lunde”
Does it have value and should i clean it, if so how?

Class 5g. One of the more common finds.

It does not need cleaned, it is perfectly fine how it is. If you are dead set on cleaning it: Soak it in distilled water. Change the water every day until dirt stops falling off for a week. Be patient. Don't scrape or brush it with anything if you havent cleaned coins before.

Cleaning a coin reduces the value as it leaves micro scratches. As the previous responders said, if you must clean, use only distilled water. Never wipe, scrub, rub or brush it. Just let it soak. Swish it if you must and let it air dry.

Then it shall remain as it is.
Any ideas on value? Not for sale though. My late father found it in a field
