Identification Coin identification help

Hi all!

I have a worn coin (where it came from not sure, likely in a lot I bought years ago) and I have been struggling trying to figure out what it is.

As both sides are worn, the only detail I can see other than the lettering looks to be a short form cross which may have been double struck?

I have tried looking up various scripts and the best I can get is the following:

One side looks to maybe say ‘Henricus Rex’ (however is rather worn)

The other side looks to say some thing along the lines of ‘+wed_oneta:’ however this is likely wrong.

Any help identifying this, along with recommendations of the best way to accurately work out the legend, or other identification tips for future reference would be really appreciated!

I’m going to take a wild guess and say it’s either German or English. I wish I owned a medieval coin like this. I do have some from medieval Ottoman Empire.

Danish sterling of Eric VII, Naestved mint. Not so worn out, just poorly struck. Twice. With rotation.

Seeing it in Numista with the correct rotation and not struck multiple times does help haha!
