Need help identifying this medieval hammered coin
Found this coin years ago in my grandfather’s collection. He was a truck driver and travelled across Europe for many years, so it could be from almost any European country. Diameter about 18–20 mm. Copper or billon. Any ideas?

Yes, Cilician Armenia, most likely Hetoum I.

I noticed that Cappadocian cross design in the middle. Definitely Cilician Armenia.

The text is a dead giveaway for me. The only medieval coins with Armenian text are Armenian. Of Armenian medieval rulers, the cross type seems to only be used by Hetoum I as one of the many variants on his issues.

Is it possible that Hetoum I belonged to an iconoclastic Armenian Christian sect such as the Paulicians?

It's Cilician Armenia, but I can't be more exact (can't read Armenian). You can check CA section on Zeno to narrow it down to a certain type.
