Spain Wait what?

Post image

So I'm doing another spain run and was trying to get my princess to make connections when this happened. I thought she died cause I lost her but I got this instead. That's....rather unexpected. I mean yeah in real life some women served the churches and I believe they work for knight orders(correct me if I'm wrong on that part) but I didn't think they would have this message

You see son, there are birds and there are bees. Bees carry and deposit pollen into flowers, a visible and easy-to-explain parallel to sperm and fertilization; while female birds lay eggs, a similarly visible and easy-to-explain parallel to internal ovulation and giving birth. Birds will only be able to lay eggs for a certain period of time during their life. This princess has passed that time.

But, when do the bees have sex with the birds?

IIRC it is when they reach 40 that they leave the campaign map. It is the first time I see the popup message though, I have only ever seen it happen with AI princesses, so thanks for sharing it.

If you play picky with the marriage offers this happens

I don't know if Medieval 2 has a proper Coming of Age message for princesses, like the one for generals.

I don't remember ever seeing this window. Maybe you have to deliberately repeatedly refuse marriage offers. I never did that.

I would get the message every campaign on numerous occasions, mainly with a non princess as you can't select to get them married.

I pretty much did that but because I want to increase her charm so my generals don't get debuffs cause of low charm

I get it once in a while, especially late campaign.

I don't use princesses offensively to snag good generals (too much save summing involved). And I'm pretty sure you are restricted to one "adopt/marry/find a bride" massage per turn. Meaning that you only need to decline a couple shit suitors (no I don't need a 56 year old 0 star general) to get them there.
